We didn't use the breakfast facilities but clean and spacious place. Very good communication with the reception, kettle in the room perfect. Our flat was located in a silencious area. Just few amendments to make such as - our bedroom vénitien store didn't completely close which is a pain when you have a light outside facing your bedroom. Either repear it or put some thicker curtains. - as we had to go through a earthy path it would be useful to have a doormat inside.

This place is not as advertised. No air conditioning or fans in 40c heat, filth covered mattresses and walls. Gardens overgrown and pathways a huge health and safety issue with holes and trip hazards everywhere, dark walk ways with no lights as staff can’t be bothered to replace them. The staff sit outside drinking whilst this place has fallen in to significant dis-repair. We actually contemplated sleeping in our car as it would have been more comfortable. This place is a hell hole and needs to knocked down. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Good for one night stay. Upstairs more modern then down stairs. Down stairs looked tired. Limited restaurants to eat though there were snack shacks dotted about. Would be nice to have a few restaurants and bars that were open past 7pm. It was very hot during our stay but no air con. Had to have windows open but became noisy until 11pm. Kettle was old and the element was peeling. Not cork screw or bottle opener for any alcohol refreshments.

This was one of the worst stays I’ve ever experienced. The hotel is incredibly dated and unkept - to the extent that it feels unsafe. The pathway is overgrown and uneven. The cot provided was not clean, had an huge rip in the side and did not have a mattress.

Old building. Lack of maintenance. Dirty sheets. It does not have air conditioning. Mold in the showers and dirt in the kitchen. There is still work to be done to bring it up to date. Thank God, we only stay 2 nights there.

We enjoyed our stay there, it was clean and very big apartment. The only issue we had it was the heat, there is no air conditioning or fan there , although it was 36 degrees that day. The second issue was the swimming pool, the kids went at its opening time 9am to enjoy it before we start our day, but it was filthy.

On arrival, the property was rather littered with over flowing, smelly bins in the car park. The checking in process was smooth but the amount I was charged was more than the amount quoted me by Expedia. The 2 bedroom apartment was very clean but a little dated. Very spacious accommodation with a just about adequate kitchen. Lounge furniture is mismatched and did not provide adequate, comfortable seating for all four of us at any one time. Swimming pool and surroundings were very clean and relatively quiet. The staff at reception were helpful but it took 3 days for the lounge blind to be fixed which made the room hot as it was stuck in the open position. The area is very quiet even with the back doors open. An ideal place which was under 30 minutes Away by car from the centre of Lyon, and the amphitheatre. There is a small supermarket which is a slow 15 minute walk from the property.

We had to change rooms due to ant infestation, we weren’t sure if they would sort out the infestation or just let the next ariivals just use the room until they complained. The whole place could do with a deep clean and some modernisation.

Grounds around the buildings are well kept and have a very nice garden feel. Rooms and beddings were generally clean but the carpets were stained. Some lights did not work. Service was great with our late arrival and later with helping us when we had cel phone problems. Hotel is located in quick driving distance to the Roman amphitheater and the Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière. Free available parking is a big plus. I would recommend this hotel for budget minded travelers.

It's a beautiful hotel with a garden atmosphere. The room was comfortable and had air conditioning, which as good because it gets warm and humid in that area. The nice woman running the front desk gave us information on how to get to Venice and was able to sell us bus tickets. The bus to Venice is just a short walk away. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family

Very helpful and English speaking staff. The room was v good for the price. Would be better if the windows had proper curtains and the security shutters. Satellite tv would be a bonus as well. However for the price, you can't get much better.

The location of the hotel was beatuiful. Easy to find on SATNAV, however the address was spelt incorrectly on the website. Confusion over the cost "per room" was terrible, and I had to ring hotels.com and the hotel itself to confirm the correct price..... On the whole the villa for 8 people was excellent value for money and we would happily use it again if need be. I would liked to have seen a proper kettle and not coffee percolator - we had to buy a kettle and also fans for our use as there was nothing to help with the intense heat. Staff were pleasant enough and helpful. We arrived much earlier that we thought and were allowed to have access.

The units are EXTREMELY spartan and basic. There are no comforts/niceties such as pictures (ok, there were two very small pictures in a 2 level, 2 bedroom unit with huge walls), rugs, bath mats, alarm clocks, decent lamps (lighting was terrible), sufficient mirrors, etc... The bathrooms had exposed plumbing pipes, and the plastic shower curtain was disgustingly dirty as it was literally caked with soap scum from previous visitors. The walls, along with pretty much everything else, needed a deep cleaning. The hard, extremely uncomfortable sofa bed sleeper in the living room had pillows, but they were the actual sofa pillows with a pillowcase thrown over them instead of regular sleeping pillows. Part of the reason I chose this hotel is because they advertised a pool for my kids. However, the pool was covered up and not useable. Also, the dish detergent was provided but the bottle was half used as were the rolls of toilet tissue, and the sponge provided to wash dishes wasn't new (yuck!) While I certainly didn't expect the Trump Plaza for such a low rate, I at least expected that the room would remotely resemble the lovely pictures on the website. Be prepared - the rooms you see on the website are MUCH MUCH nicer than what you will receive. However, the front desk staff was wonderful! They were really nice and helpful, and most spoke pretty good English.

Can't say enough good things about this place. We were here for 2 weeks while my husband was working in the Lyon area. We decided to make a family trip of it & brought along our 2 small children. Although, it is a little far out of the city & my husband had quite a drive to work, the kids loved this place. It is set up as small "villas" with about 4 apartments to a building. All in a maze of sidewalks connecting them. Every evening my son loved leading us around the maze. There was open grassed in areas that they could play ball. The pool was wonderful. Although we were there in the summer & it didn't have air conditioning, we never needed it. There were lots of floor to ceiling patio doors we could open for a great breeze. If you don't have a car, there is a bus stop right out in front of the hotel that will bring you to the train station. A nice walk up the street will bring you to a pizzaria, post office & small grocery store. The front desk workers all spoke wonderful English & were very quick to help us in any way. Wish all hotels were like this one!!

This hotel seemed nice enough. The rooms had plenty of space, and would be really nice for extended stay, or if you planned on cooking/eating at the hotel. There was a pool that seemed nice, but we didn't get to use it because it was still a little too cool. The staff spoke very good english and were very helpful with all of our questions. Really, the only demerit is that it was about a 30 minute bus ride into the city, but if you have to drive there, it is nice to stay out of all the traffic anyway. Bottom line, nice little hotel out of the way, but not rapidly convenient to the city. As long as you don't plan on making pit-stops at the hotel room often, then I recommend it.

WARNING: this is not a hotel with a 24 hour front desk but more like a condo rental with limited front desk hours. We arrived about 9pm and the front was closed down, dark and locked. Fortunately there was a phone number to call. After a few minutes, the staff came out front and was very friendly. Her name was Valerie and spoke perfect english. Due to a missed flight we arrived one night later than our reservation but valerie upgraded us to a bigger unit to compensate us. The unit was a townhouse style with two bedrooms upstairs and a living room and kitchen downstairs. the facilities were nice and clean, but the bed was not as comfortable as other hotels we had stayed in. We would stay here again. It was a good value over all. Lyon is about a 10-12 km drive away. We parked at the George De Loup train station and took the metro into Lyon.

This was a perfect hotel in every respect once we found it. Make sure you have very clear instructions on how to reach this oasis. The apartment was huge even for 4 adults - much bigger than we were expecting, and the grounds were perfectly immaculate and beautiful. Our host, Valerie, was everything a traveller could ask for in her helpfulness and directions once we arrived. The hotel was further from Lyon than we anticipated (at least 30 minutes cy car) and we spent a lot of time lost in the wonderful, but at times frustrating, countryside. We loved this Citea hotel so much, that we continued to book into other Citea hotels on our vacation to France. If arriving after 7pm, make sure you call ahead so Valerie can leave you a key, and also make sure that you get any groceries you may need (including cone coffee filters) because Marcy` Etoile shuts down at 7pm. If we had only but known, we would not have gone to bed without dinner on our first night in France! The small grocery store, Casino Petite, opens early in the morning though, and sells mouth watering croissants. Terrific value.
