This is a very bare bones stay - clean and nice but

Terrible experience. The room was nothing like the photos shown online – extremely small, dirty, with visible insects and spiders. There was a constant smell of mould and damp fabrics, making it very uncomfortable to stay. The air conditioning did not work at all, so the humidity was unbearable. Food was unsafe: I became ill and vomited after eating (spoiled eggs, old fish, non-fresh fruit). This place felt unhealthy and completely unsafe to stay in. I had to leave after only 2 nights, even though I had paid for 6. This property should not be advertised as it is misleading and below basic health and safety standards.

The hotel was easy to find, staff are very friendly and helpful. Good swimming pool with sun beds. However, is next to the main road so the pool area is noisy. Good parking and close to the best shopping streets outside Milan.

This is a modern hotel that is cold in its design inside. Certainly not 5 stars ! Service at breakfast was done by one person , who could not handle this Location is on the Main Street into Porto Ercole, noisy.

Hotel food varied , lots of choice Area expensive but hidden gems are available Try the1950 American diner via Provinciale 153 If craving a steak burger or ribs Public transport excellent . Recommend a trip on the bus to Viarregio When there have the seafood risotto at Tito del molo Viale Margherita. Would definitely revisit this hotel. 😘

Stayed at The Grand for 4 nights in early September 2018. Staff: From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a happy, smiling, helpful face. We arrived at about midday and were not expecting to check in, merely to find out about the street parking. The receptionist made a call and our room was ready, so she checked us in, BRILLIANT !! She also provided invaluable info about the street parking and gave us a voucher to display. We parked outside the front of the hotel, another great result. Our room was on the first floor and overlooked the beach. We were very happy with the room. It was a decent size, had a good en-suite and was very clean. The air conditioning was remotely controlled and efficient. The pool area was clean and very tidy, with plenty of sun beds (for the time of year). The hotel is well placed for the town area of Forte dei Marmi, walked within 5 minutes. Breakfast could be improved. The breakfast bar is too small with many guests trying to access the food at the same time. The dining area needs redesigning as there is a lot of wasted space that could be better utilised. The other annoying problem was the noise from the room above. Every time a chair was moved (dragged) the noise from above was very annoying. The furniture needs pads on its feet. Overall we had a fabulous experience at The Grand and would happily book to stay there again.

Reasonable hotel in good location. Expensive but very stlylish resort.If you are looking for classic historic Italy this resort is not it .It is however accessible nearby by car or public transport. The beachclubs are excellent to suit every taste and price range with good bathing and lifeguard cover.

Forte Dei Marmi, is probably the most expensive seaside resort in Italy, so do not expect things to be cheap. Disappointing that the hotel does not have access to any of the beach clubs, if you want to use the beach you have to make your own arrangements, which can be costly.

The Grand hotel is a place to stay for the visiters of Forte Dei Marmi who want to relax. The friendly helpful staff will help you to find the perfect pace of life for your stay in no time at all. That pace is one of relaxed and restful. The staff are more than happy to chat the time away or help organize day trips and travel with true Italian cool and charm. The rooms are spacious and fresh - tiled tastefully, uncluttered and cleaned to perfection daily. I spent the first three days happily next to and in the modest but cool pool in the private garden area of the hotel safe in the knowledge that there would be enough sunloungers to go around whether you stayed all day or left for a few hours. The bar was less expensive than the local restuarnts and the breakfast included in the rooms price was fuller than I have experience in other european hotels. All in all The Grand Hotel Forte Die Marmi was a trouble free friendly place that if I was ever in the area again would definatly be my first call. I am keen to hunt out other Blu Hotel's all through out Italy in the future.
