The location was ok, when you are at the Volksfest. The staffs were nice.

We are a retired couple from Australia touring through Europe. When we arrived we had to wait for check in time, which wasn’t an issue. What was an issue is it states it is a non smoking facility but the staff all congregated in the foyer with the door chocked open chain smoking and then laughed when I asked the reception manager to close the door to stop the cigarette smoke pouring in. When we did gain access to our room, we had to move all the cleaning trolleys that had been left in the guest hallway before we could move down the corridor. The Hotel is not located near eateries but we didn’t think that would be an issue as the Hotel promotes a restaurant. The restaurant was not open for us as it was booked out for a private party, but staff advised it is not normally open. Only 1 staff member spoke English contrary to what was promoted. The vending machine was broken so the only way to source items was to get staff to unlock the machine which was problematic as the staff didn’t speak English. The group that had booked the restaurant, were staying at the Hotel (a bus load full of them), and they partied on inside and outside the Hotel with loud talking, laughing, smoking, banging on doors and generally unruly behaviour with the final door being slammed at 4am. When I logged a formal complaint via email directly with the Hotel I was advised the Hotel would give me a free drink at the bar (not helpful as we had only booked for 1 night so couldn’t take advantage of that poor excuse of an offer to address our concerns). In the morning there was no one at reception to take our room key, or for me to provide in person feedback. I would not recommend this Hotel. We have been travelling all over Europe for the past 6-weeks and this was probably one of our worst experiences we have had.
