This is quite an old Campanile, which hasn't been refurbished in many years. The walls (woodchip) could do with a decent clean.The rooms show signs of smoke stains too.

The lady was nice and that’s it. Our room was number 8, I can’t believe that Expedia has a 3 star and is not even a 1 star. The room smelled like wet dog and there were mold in the wall and bathtub. Told the guy in charge and he said sorry. This is not a hotel, it’s a motel for animals not humans. We are traveling all over Europe and this was the worst I have seen yet. Do not go there all the ratings are fake, and lies. I know those people did not stay at this hotel. Please don’t risk it

The hotel rooms are a bit tired in terms of decor (woodchip or Artex on walls and ceilings), but the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was fine. It was a good place to stop en route for Dieppe. We had an evening meal and breakfast at the restaurant and really enjoyed the food. We travelled with our elderly dog, who was very ill by the time we got there. I would have preferred a ground floor room, as the exterior concrete spiral staircase was tricky to manage with her. I didn’t like to ask for a ground floor room when we arrived, The staff were pleasant and helpful. We are a couple travelling with an adult son and daughter, so appreciated the twin room arrangement.

Got logged in quickly. Menu all in French, almost none of which I understand. Room was cool and heat-pump put out almost no warm air no matter the setting. Brought long johns which I DID wear. Only tourist information found was a Rouen map I happened to see in restaurant and picked up. Staff speaks enough English to be very helpful.

A good stop over hotel en route to the ferries. Lovely friendly staff, good value food , we ate both dinner and breakfast in their restaurant, room as you'd expect for a Campanile, clean, good beds and good overall condition. Only hiccup guests arriving through the night and wheeling suitcases along the veranda but otherwise quiet for such a busy location.

We always use Campanille hotels when travelling through France. After a long, hot and slow journey the green sign was so welcoming. As always comfortable beds, endless hot water, very helpful reception staff and a surprisingly good glass of wine. Will we use Campanile again? Of course we will. Even though this particular hotel is somewhat dated, it was all immaculately clean and tidy - and a great magazine rack in reception.

The hotel itself was quaint and luxurious. The room was a decent size and the facilities were as good as could be expected. However, it was difficult to work the air conditioning and often woke up cold. The restaurant served delicious food at a reasonable price. There was also friendly staff constantly there to help. Nice dog too. However, it is about a 3 mile walk from the town centre to the hotel - uphill, across busy motorways (no pathway) and it is easy to get lost. But this isn't a problem if you have money for taxis or access to a vehicle, as there is also no bus service there. The maid came into our room early one morning, despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign, so beware of that. Wear clothes to bed!

We stayed here on the way back from camping in the Vendee on our way to Calais. So after a tent it was a luxury to have a bathroom although there were 4 of us (2 children) in the room it felt pretty cramped. But it did the job, it was a stop over and had everything we needed, basic but functional. However the staff were super friendly and the restaurant was superb and looked newly decorated, had good meals for the kids. We stayed in a Novotel on the way out which was a nice start to the holiday, but this was literally for 12 hours, just somewhere to put our heads and for the money I would definitely recommend staying here, slightly outside the centre of town but easy to get back on that main road to Calais which was about 2 hours journey. Does the job.
