It felt like a migrant hotel, which it probably was. Screaming children and parents, tic tacs on the floor which were probably not tic tacs, hallways and elevators and stairwells filthy, breakfast food that consisted of only bagels and cereal and some yellow liquid masquerading as orange juice. Many of the phones didn't work. Lots of deferred maintenance. An odor some said was stale cannabis smoke. Bed linens were clean and staff friendly.

Our room was very clean and we were so pleased there was very hot water in the shower not lukewarm like so many hotels today. There is nothing fancy here but cleanliness is #1 for us.

There are litteraly bugs smashed into the wall. I thought they were screws until i got closer and saw they were in fact dwad bugs.

Hotel showed we had a jacuzzi in the room got there no jacuzzi hotel showed we had a sofa bed got no sofa bed, hotel tv didn’t work only worked on one Channel which was freeform where we watched lion king the whole time told the front desk guy he told me maam no you booked a double room no I booked a king room that showed on the picture that it had a jacuzzi then he said you got a good rate being it’s game day not to mention I’m due to have a baby any day hotel room was dirty dusty and definitely not what the pictures looked like we didn’t even attempt to check out breakfast. False advertisement! Do not stay there!

Reasonable rates, but the property is dated, a little rundown, in need of remodeling. Breakfast is adequate, but limited — toast, bagels, yogurts, packaged cinnamon rolls. There are breakfast sandwiches that can be microwaved. Parking was limited, perhaps because it seems to be shared with another hotel and a restaurant, so we had to park quite a ways from the door. Okay if you just need a place to spend the night, but would otherwise not stay here again.

This hotel is shady and I would warn people to stay away. We had an Expedia reservation and we showed up around 8 PM to check into our room and found out that they had given our room away because it was a “busy weekend”. Thankfully, they had a suite that we could stay in that night, but it was dirty, stains on the sheets, a tiny sofa bed that my two adult children had to squeeze into. The following night we moved into another room, which was better. The next morning, the hotel tried to tell me that the refund they had promised me the night before (for switching into that room) would no longer be issued. After talking to the manager who said he would then issue it, I still haven’t seen it in my credit card activity. We shall see. I would never stay at this hotel again. The breakfast was frozen waffles and a step down from normal hotels. Good thing there is a Bob Evan’s across the street! It is a good location for visiting U of M - that is the only nice thing I can say about this hotel.

Check-in was a nightmare - either because of Expedia or the check-in clerk. I failed to notice my surname had not yet been changed in my Expedia account when I booked, and it took about an hour and almost an Act of God to rectify this. The toilet was dirty when we checked in, and after 3 days of no cleaning or fresh linens we finally (after asking 2 or 3 times) managed to get someone in to take care of that for our final 2 days. The room was poorly maintained, with no latch mechanism on the bathroom door, a smashed shower panel, a non-functional hair dryer, etc. The carpets, especially in hallways, are filthy. Not a recommended place.

Felt 100% unsafe. Stayed there for a baseball tournament and my son was scared so stayed with his friends about a mile down the road. Room smelled of marijuana and had 2 people walk into our room early am and at night time drug deals right in front of the building. Learned our lesson

This property is in very poor condition. Most things are broken or are breaking. Entire shower was broken, we wouldnt even use it. Slamming doors took place all night and morning, very very noisy.

This hotel houses crews of construction workers for weeks at a time. It was noisy and the hallways reeked of take out food and pot smoke. We had to change our room because music was loud and coming through the wall.

As a woman staying alone,I wasn’t very pleased that the front desk attendant announced my room number to me and everyone else in the lobby. The stairwell was right next door to my room and every time someone opened and closed the door, it slammed shut. Which shook the entire wall. Made sleeping difficult as the bed was up against that wall. Overall the place was dark and dreary. Not well maintained. Very disappointed.

I normally have no problem with economical hotels, as long as the room is safe & clean. But this place has some problems that should be addressed. For one, there was a back hallway door that didn't shut. Walking through the door, low- income apartments just outside. In the room: non-operating fridge, no Kleenex (have NEVER seen this in any hotel), and loose tile in the bathroom (water heave). Wet carpet from leaking ac . Boiling hot water in the sink. The beds were comfortable enough. Didn't patronize the free breakfast; looked dismal. They really need to address these issues! Decrease the rate and don't advertise breakfast!

We were given a room in the second floor-it reeked of marijuana although we had to sign a no smoking agreement. The phone was out of service and the tv didn’t work. When the maintenance man came, he said none of the phones worked and he was surprised the air conditioning was working. The room was not clean and there was garbage piled up outside the exit. Other guests had rooms without towels

Building very outdated, pool ice cold, shower water so hot you couldn't let it touch your skin and no way to adjust it. Very limited breakfast. Mixture of smoke and mildew smell throughout building.
