Delphi Art Hotel

Booked a suite room and it was amazing. Location is pretty good and near to all tourist spots. Walkable distance from acropolis. Breakfast was really good with a lot of options. Staffs are very accommodating and helpful. Don't worry about the reviews related to druggies in the area, it's pretty safe with police patrolling the area at night and daytime as well. Just mind your own business and you'll be good.

Good location in the center of Athens near Omonia metro and across from bus stop for Kifissos bus station. Just didn't have hot water in the bathroom all day. Maybe it happened to me, I don't know.

I think this hotel is also one of the good hotels. The staff was very professional.

I do not recommend staying at this hotel. The only time I have felt unsafe in Athens was while staying here. The hotel itself was serviceable, but the square in front of the main entrance is the main location where homeless people live, and we literally saw several people using syringes right in front of the hotel doors. Once, the police and ambulance came to the front of the hotel because a homeless man was laying outside of the hotel with his male member out, occasionally peeing on the sidewalk. This is literally "the bad side of town" Athens tourism information warns you about. The hotel itself was also disappointing. We let the hotel know that we would be arriving at 23:30 several days ahead, and arrived 20 minutes early. The front desk had closed by that time, so the kind security guard did his best to check us in, but the hotel staff made the job REALLY difficult for him. He first gave us room 106 which smelled lightly of vomit, so I asked the security guy if there was any deodorizing spray I could borrow. He then got on the phone with hotel staff at another hotel, gradually getting angrier and angrier as they refused to be helpful, hung up on him, made him call the desk of another hotel, and just dragged him on and on when all we needed was a can of Febreeze. He finally just got us another room, but it wasn't cleaned so he had to get on the phone again to get us ANOTHER room. The only request we had was for there to be two beds, but we just accepted this last room with a single bed because it was well past midnight by that point. So we, two large men, shared a single comforter that night and asked for a new room in the morning, which the finally-present front desk staff was able to give us later in the day. The restrooms are clean but beware, the acoustics exaggerate sound and the doors are thin so everyone in the hotel room will be able to hear every splash, toot, and plop made in that room. At least the hot water came out quickly and steadily. The rooms are serviceable, but the AC is not functioning. There is a sign in the room that says if you change the mode of the AC, it will shut off the AC in the entire building, which makes no sense and we were stuck in the too-warm room our whole stay. The elevator doesn't work half of the time, so beware. The breakfast was simple, but serviceable.
