It's a very clean place and quiet place. It is reasonable in cost. Close to everything in whistler.

I enjoyed the location of Horstman House being away from the hustle and bustle of the main village. I really enjoyed the check in process with a) assigned parking b) codes provided via email ahead of time and c) the luggage carts were smooth. Getting the luggage cart to the elevator was a little clunky in what seems like a small foyer right off the parking garage.
My husband and I checked out the pool and hot tub once we unpacked and that was fantastic! It's outdoors and was very clean. We met some owners while we were out there and they were very friendly as well.
The rooms themselves are quiet. I know there were people staying on the same floor next to us (their designated parking stalls had vehicles in them) but we didn't hear any noise from other units.
The kitchen was well equipped, which is the appeal of staying somewhere like this, so we were able to have our usual morning coffee & breakfast routine like when we're at home. We also brought some meal prep with us for dinner one night.
We would absolutely stay here again.

Pros:
* apartment as described
* bus stop basically at doorstep to the villages
* close to plenty of walking trails
Cons:
* older building. Make sure you stay in highest floor unit. Anything lower and you hear “trampling” from those above. Kind of goes against the peaceful location …
Tip:
* Try Portobello cafe / restaurant for yummy baked goods. 15 min walk away, at Blackcomb village

The hotel is great, very clean, kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans, everything you’ll need to cook (except note that they only give you some coffee and sugar packets, no salt, pepper, cooking oil, etc). There’s a nice porch with a table and four chairs, everything is very comfortable. Parking was convenient, the shuttle pick up is right across the street. You will have to take out your own garbage. This experience was kind of like an Airbnb in a way, as we received a code and checked ourselves in, but there is someone working at the front desk much of the day, and they were able to help with some minor issues (new batteries for the smoke detector, needed dish soap). Excellent experience.
