Friendly staff + easy check-in, would stay there again!

While all together ok and good value, rooms a bit tied and bathroom was not particularly clean. Food was great as was the 🍺. Staff were great. Bit confused as to why I’m being asked for payment for each thing you order ie: main course and a beer going to have more beer and a dessert. But want payment for the beer and main course? When you check in credit card details taken IN CASE YOU RUN AWAY. Pointless. Any way insist on a tab .

The breakfast selection was very good, no complaints at all

Clean room, friendly staff and great breakfast

the rooms were warm and the bed was comfortable ...the was plenty of choice at breakfast and the evening meals were good... overall it was a good choice of a hotel having not been there for sixteen years or so.

Room and staff amazing, potential food poisoning on going with little communication from hotel as a follow up.

Look forward to staying there more when the refurbished is finished, as we visit family in Cardiff and Newport multiple times in the year. But I do think breakfast should be included in the pricing

Great hotel, was clean and the meal was good. Would stay again if working in the area.

The room was clean, and the staff were helpful. The shower only had one setting: scalding! Location was great for Cardiff and St Fagins.

Helpful staff plenty of parking

The bedding had hair all over it, when asked if they can change the bedding. The manager came to my room and passed me the new bedding to chamge the bed myself. The door connecting the lift area the hallway where the rooms are, did not have a soft close mechanism. So all day and night everytime the door was opened it would slam shut very loud. I was woken up throughout the night. The night staff are not friendly and not very helpful.

Lovely room, very friendly and helpful staff and the Xmas decorations looked lovely.

Staff were polite and attentive. Large comfortable room. Decent food, ample car parking spaces. Would stay here again when next in Cardiff.

Breakfast was pleasant however the clocked elements were a little cold. The room was great but needed more shower gel etc There needed to be some bottled water in the room

Great welcome from the reception desk on arrival 👌 Friendly bar staff, nice clean room (was a superior twin). Decent food in the bar area with relaxed atmosphere. Easy parking. Excellent value for money for an overnight business trip

Breakfast was fresh and hot, fantastic selection. Room was clean and fresh. This is my return visit from a couple of weeks ago. This is my first choice for Cardiff, just a few minutes from the centre. Staff at breakfast so friendly. Well done 🙂🙂

The whole place is good,friendly staff, nice rooms,the breakfast is outstanding.

The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.The room was comfortable, warm aand clean. The dining room was lovely and the food was excellent. The view of the lake and the swan with her cygnets was a treat! It's location was great for shopping. Thank you.

fitness suite and pool closed. advised of this only after booking. couple of rough bits like bath panel needed replacement. otherwise bed was comfortable, room was clean. too few teabags. good breakfast.

All in all, it was just an average stay on a business trip. Upon check in I was asked if I would like to add breakfast on my booking which I didnt at the time but wasnt told what time breakfast was. I decided to go for breakfast the following morning but took a guess on the time as no information in the room as the times for breakfast or dinner. In fact no information booklet at all in the room There were on the bed when I arrived in the room the cards you hook on the door which you use for do not distrurb which is what I thought they were so put them on the side and left them there. When I got back to my room after being at work all day, my room had not been serviced and a card pushed through my door to say Id said for my room not to be serviced by house keeping. What the cards are for are to inform housekeeping that you either did or did not want housekeeping to service your room. if you were supposed to do this you should be informed at check in or information in the room to tell you to do this. Never in all the years of staying in a hotel and this is supposed to be a 4 star do you have to let housekeeping know to clean your room or not surely in this day and age it should be an automatic thing, you even get this done in a premier inn, due to my room not being serviced I had to go all the way back down to reception to get some teabags as I didn't have any left. Just a little more information to guests is what is required upon check in

Very tidy and clean room and spacious,the staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast and bar are excellent. We love and enjoy our stay and will surely come back

We did not have breakfast, but the lunchtime meal was good

Hi it was not made clear where to walk the dogs the entry point.I never knew there was £20 each dog per night to stay.The beds super comfy Breakfast lovely Bedroom freezing so spent 40 pound on blankets as i had my 85 year old mum with me The most disappointing for me leisure club swimming pool was completely shut for a long while apparently Wanting to relax at night in our room There was no room service However it was advertised as available so was the leisure club These things did ruin our stay I would return but the things promised would have to be available I would like a refund Thankyou
