    I am not recommending this property for several reasons. 1. Personal unfriendly and not very efficient 2. The property needs renovation 3. During the visit, the elevator was out of service, and another was broken every day., plus other problems like shower in the rooms have smels , toilet is not flashing

    My family amd I will never return to this so called resort. We came to relax and for my son's birthday with the expectation this was the place to come to enjoy amd relax. We booked 12 nights to stay here. Upon arrival the first staff was pleasant as they were taking your deposit. Ease note that I had contacted Divi Southwinds from Toronto Canada to inquire if my room had a full kitchen with an oven and I was told it did. I explained my son has medical Dietary needs and inwill need an oven to prepare his food. Day 1 of arrival, my suite had no oven, no working microwave or conventional oven. The appliances were nonworking at all. I tried to call the front desk and the phone was not operational. I then decided to seek help from the front desk. The staff there was very rude and and dismissive with me. I asked as to why she was yelling amd being sonpassive aggressive to which sho continued to yell out the extension for housekeeping. Did I mention am a guest who has a visible disability (MS) and I use a cane to aid in walking. Eventually,.I was able to get help from maintenance whom determine the appliances not working. I was switched to a room the next day. My son amd I were so hungry at this point. Day 2 we are in a new room, to make this story short, the appliances in there were not working as well and there was no oven. My son had given up on having food or a nice birthday. I will add, I connected with a nice staff Heather who tried to rectify the situation. Eventually, my son and inwere sent to another room bigger than the other room, which I appreciated. That being said , I noticed the popcorn roof was black. I was afraid to complain, as the other staff was still on duty and did not shybaway from ignoring tenant giving me rude glances. At this point into our vacation, my son and I have still not attended the pool or beach as we are constantly asked to pack our suitcases to switch rooms. Day three or four the ceiling in the new room was dripping on my son and I. Maintenance came by and reported the ceiling is dripping because I am not blasting g my AC amd that black roof was just "a little mold". Needless to say, his supervisor inspected the room and we were told that we had to transfer to another room. Thank goodness for that, as mold can kill you! Talk less of a seeking ceiling. In the end we had to transfer room 4 times. The room we were transferred to had issue with the pipes in the kitchen, the fridge did not close. All is my son's special food spoiled from all the moves and we had to throw it out and the conventional oven made a loud popping noise and did not work. We were transfered to yet another room. No rest, no pool time, no beach time and my MS was affecting me negatively. In the end Divi Southwinds, after speaking with management only offered to reimburse me.for two nights, despite having 11 nights of hell. Can we spell lawyer!

    We enjoyed our stay at divi and this would not be our last. It was right in the gap and close to everything. The facilities had everything we needed and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were clean . No complaints.
