    The hotel was really nice with larger than normal rooms for Iceland. Its a bit outside the city centre so you need to take public transit, but it was easy

    Hotel has central air-conditioning so only choice for ventilation is to open window which overlooks the reception. It was very noisy till past midnight. By around 1.30 am it got very hot in the room and had to ask for fan. Rest of the night had to listen to the noisy fan. And 1 hour sleep that night. Location is also terrible. 30 min or more walk into city center where restaurants are. The hotel itself has a restaurant that serves quite terrible food. So consider staying there if you want to suffer and make do with bad food.

    We had a wonderful stay at Grand Hotel Reykjavík. Meals were delicious and room was spacious. Bed was incredibly comfortable making it a restful night.

    The stay was satisfactory, mainly because of a helpful receptionist who assisted us in changing to a room on Level 1. Initially, we were assigned a Level 2 room, but the atmosphere felt quite unsettling, and the view was not particularly impressive. The room also had an eerie appearance that made us feel as though something might pull the blanket off at night. Since we were uncomfortable, we requested a room change. Thankfully, the receptionist managed to move us to Room 153 on Level 1. The new room was much better, and we were comfortable with our stay despite having to climb a few steps. The only other issue was the parking situation, as it was difficult to find a space at night because the car park was almost full. Oh also, the room doesn’t provide kettle. You share the hot water from the coffee machine where your cup noodles gonna have complementary coffee taste.
