reception area was like a building site with dust sheets hanging down to cover where the work was being carried out. Restaurant closed until June/July No restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel Had to get the tram into centre of Clermont First room offered was too dark so next room overlooked the cemetery! got into the room, and building works were being carried on somewhere in the hotel but we were told that would stop in about an hour!!!

You know what to expect from an Ibis. Simple but good for the price and convenience. This Ibis was not good at all. Service was really poor. I asked for a quiet room at reception and we were given a room next to the lift. Very noisy. I went down to get this changed and waited a long time as nobody was on reception and nobody came when I rang the bell, in all 3 times. We had decided to eat in the Courtepaille and get an early night. Our waitress made lots of f mistakes and we waited ages as she was the only one serving until later. Breakfast was ok and the 1 man serving it worked hard but tables were left uncleared. The coffee was awful even for machine coffee. I was asked if everything was ok when I checked out and I said no and explained what was wrong. I have no confidence that my feedback would have been passed on. What is the point of asking the question if nothing happens to the feedback. Accord Group. I hope someone there is reading this. Deborah Cardwell

Very disappointing. Stayed here before and it was OK. This time was different. Air Con did not cool room anywhere near enough - very warm. Most of car park unavailable (taped off) so had to park in VERY tight space. Toilet positioning weird - seat cover could not go upright as shelf overhanging the bowl - so pushing on your back when sitting on throne (!). Also, loo paper positioned behind you so you had to be a contortionist to reach. Staff variable. Morning guy was great. Night guy had obviously not had enough training. Very uncertain about what to do. Had to call colleague at home to get advice. Tried to charge me for room when I’d already paid via Expedia

Ok hotel for a one night stop on the way to your destination. The room is very compact but clean. Checkin and checkout was very quick. You can park your car around the hotel but for an extra 5€ you can park in the garage situated under the hotel. The hotel is located on a road with good connection to the freeways, but this means you are at least 30 min walk out of the city center.

Most of my Ibis experiences have been mediocre at best, even for the price. In this case, I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room, level of cleanliness, and the comfort of the beds. The breakfast was very well-stocked, and reception was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Could check in quite early (12pm) and check out late (12pm again). Two small downsides - the view overlooking a huge graveyard; insufficient parking (we parked in garden store next door, were afraid of getting ticketed or towed, but fortunately next day was a Sunday).

This Hotel is easy to find located close to A71, Its visible on the main road; Breakfast is great but was chargeable for us. They give you coupons dont think that its complimentary, it will be charged at the end of your stay. very close to Michelin museum if you want to visit; puy de dome is about 20 mins drive. Overall we had a great stay and its a fantastic budget hotel

Way out of the city center. 40 min walk if you're brave enough. Hotel is based in Montferrand not Clermont Ferrand. Only way in town is car or tram which stops 5 min away from hotel. Doesn't run that often in the evening though. Apart from that typical Ibis hotel in every way (room, decoration, breakfast, etc.). No surprise there.
