Location was great! Game room was great! Location was so close to everything! When booking our hope was the house would be the “hub” for family to hangout and it was just that. I’m thankful for the fridge with water and ice!
The house could use a deep clean and pest control. The floors felt grimy, you could tell it had been a while, there was dead bug buildup in the corners and we had to kill bugs often. It would have been nice to have laundry soap and more towels (given the humidity, towels didn’t “air dry” for the next morning.

Clos proximity to the UA campus. I was hosting for friends and family for a Alabama football game.
The prohibition by the owner/host/manager to adjust the thermostat. It sat at 80 degrees all day for the 4 days we rented the place, which was unacceptable. It was stuffy for all. There were 2 stand-alone fans available, but that was not enough. The outdoor temperature was high 80's and clear, but the house was still stuffy for the weekend. Called the local 205 area code number three times given to us on the laminated instructions left in each room. No return call. Have a large backyard to entertain with flood lights, but the lights were out, and we were unable to replace them on our own, because no ladder was available. Additionally, the gas pit was a nest for wasp, and did not appear as it had been used in awhile. Overall, the place has potential, but I recommend confirming the solution to the temperature of the house before renting this house during the time periods that the outside temperature is more than 75 degrees for the high. More importantly, if you are paying premium prices (like we did) for a special event (I e., football weekend, graduation), then you are going to be disappointed for the price you are paying for basic services of a rental property.
