Habitation La Reine du Camp Chambres d'Hôtes

Het huis is schitterend ingericht en heeft een prachtige ligging in de bergen. Onze kamer was romantisch en comfortabel. We zijn hartelijk ontvangen door Mme. Nathalie en haar zoon en genoten iedere ochtend van het heerlijke ontbijt. Ik had nog veel langer willen blijven; het waren onvergetelijke dagen!

Séjour dans une ambiance vintage, très agréable et raffinée. Un plaisir d'antan qu'on savoure en parcourant du regard chaque pièce de cette très grande maison où on imagine la belle époque en Guadeloupe dans cette demeure bourgeoise. Nathalie est une hôtesse charmante qui vous conseille très très bien sûr les promenades et excursions à faire. Un 5 étoiles pour son petit déjeuner gastronomique

The host was absolutely lovely

The house has character and charm about it but the place doesn’t cater for people staying very well - there is no privacy, all the rooms in the main house share very thin walls with windows in between them - a curtain being the only separation between rooms. The wooden floors creak a great deal, so much that you can hear this across the house, especially during the night. The doors creak and close loudly which gives the whole place an authentic but incredibly rustic feel. The place needs a good clean - we had to kill a couple of very large cockroaches in our room before bedtime. The bathroom has a balcony door leading to a main veranda giving guests no privacy apart from a semi-transparent curtain. The mosquito net over the bed has certainly seen better days. There are no locks on any of the guest bedroom doors or on the main door. Overall, very overpriced for what it is. I feel bad leaving this review as the host was so lovely, but it’s not fair to offer this standard at this rate.
