Gîte Maison Planté a5 - Argeles-Gazost

The location wins hands down. The view is spectacular and better than the photo shown! and the balcony does not get the sun in the afternoon and evening. It was 36-38 degrees for our week there. It’s a very well renovated older property with six apartments. The walls are very thick and the downstairs room stays cool if you keep the windows and doors closed from 7am. Ours had a very long and good balcony with room to store our bikes. It’s located on the Main Street which means you are on the level of the main town which is very convenient. It’s quiet after 10.30 to have bedroom windows open. It’s less than five minutes into the centre of town on foot. Everything you could possibly want in town - market on Tuesday. We cooked every night, the kitchen is well set up. The WiFi is good. It was a very good base to hike from with several walks from the town. Would stay again - just not in the height of summer which this year started in early June! The host was very responsive. Easy check in and check out.

Air conditioning needed for summer months. It does cool down after 10.30pm enough to sleep upstairs where the main bedroom is but it would be difficult to sleep in July and August. Not enough wine glasses - 2 mismatched. Needs new sharp knives. I am partially disabled so did find the 16 stairs to the bedroom steep, so bear that in mind - the bathroom is downstairs. The bed is low and only a double.

Très bien équipé, très bonne localisation, très bon accueil. Calme et bonne literie. Tout était parfait !
