Pleasant

This location is absolutely perfect. We wanted ocean, and it was good proximity to Bruges and Ghent. It's important to note that there is no busy street between the apartment and beach; awesome expansive view over a long beach. Loved it! Within the unit I particularly appreciated the thought put into kitchen utensils, small appliances, etc. Best was an actual clean sponge and dishcloth, which I rarely encounter. There was evident effort in making this comfortable. As well, this unit was CLEAN. I see every speck of dust, and was impressed with cleanliness. Just a few kitchen shelves that could be wiped down.

Parking put a damper on the entire time. I could not load the meter app from my Canadian region, and half the meters were broken. I had to go down and load the meter, but walk further to a working one. Kicker was meeting a guest in a neighbouring unit; that owner had spent the money on buying a parking pass for a nearby lot. Our perpetual issues would have been alleviated if the owner just buys a pass. Parking is not easy here, nor is it cheap. Second, there are not linens automatically offered. We are from Canada so had nothing. Owner was kind to offer us linens, however the bed sheet was actually a mattress protector, and we had no towels. We never bought towels so just made due, but again, all this can be alleviated by the easy fix of offering linens and towels. Not pricey, not too difficult, and would make a world of improvement. Based on the fact that both these issues really detracted from our stay, when they are problems that can be easily remediated, rating is significantly impacted.

Ich habe zusammen mit einem Freund vom 27. Juli bis 2. August 2025 im Apartment Vue sur Mer übernachtet. Die Unterkunft wurde über Booking.com gebucht und vollständig im Voraus bezahlt – inklusive Miete, Reinigung und aller sonstigen Gebühren. Doch beim Check-in hat der Gastgeber plötzlich zusätzlich 220 € in bar verlangt: 150 € angeblich als Kaution und 70 € für eine zusätzliche Reinigung – obwohl die Reinigung bereits im Preis enthalten war. Die Wohnung wurde in einwandfreiem Zustand und sauber hinterlassen. Es gab keine Schäden und keinen ersichtlichen Grund für diese Nachforderung. Bis heute wurde kein Nachweis für angebliche Schäden erbracht. Dieses Verhalten ist unseriös und nicht akzeptabel. Ich habe den Fall dem Kundenservice von Booking.com gemeldet und hoffe auf eine vollständige Rückerstattung. Fazit: Schöne Aussicht allein reicht nicht – Transparenz und Fairness fehlen hier leider völlig. Ich kann diese Unterkunft nicht empfehlen.

Super Lage mit Meerblick, sehr sauber und bequeme Betten

Kein Backofen, aber Herd, Mikrowelle, etc. also nicht so schlimm
