Utsav riverbank homestay

Nicely located outside of the hustle and bustle of town, along the river. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Delicious home cooked meals. Fun to watch the locals go about their way.

It's away from shops/restaurants if that's what you want and not much to walk around, but it's nice for a transit and relaxation.

Utsav Homestay at Kathgodham is river facing property with beautiful river flowing view. The atmosphere is peace, tranquil amidst serene nature. Very wonderful staff and homely food.

the staircase needs to be maintained and well lit.

River is the only attraction. Nothing else.

Location :with car for the first time visitor is very challenging. There is a small shop near the stay, and people smoke weed/etc there in the evening (did not like it). Because of the Pets, they did not even provide us with the Towels, toiletries, etc. Booking.com mentioned room with kitchen supplies, person has to recheck with the owner and was asking for money but then did not charge. So confusing. It was freaking cold and they wanted to charge 500Rs per night for the heater to be use (that we bought). We never used it as it was quite expensive already. The river is "Holy Ghat" you can see burned woods coming down the stream as it is near to cremation ground (it was okay for us but just in case someone wants to know). That Maggie point near this property is a total turn off (all kind of men arrives and stay late evening with loud music sometimes). If you want a place with nothing around and don't mind such scenarios, please feel free to book. I am not going back..ever!!
