    Wow, this is Kyoto - is my first thought when I arrive at Hauza Kyoto Gojo Karasuma. very calm, charming lobby with stylish golden light, wall, tokonoma & paper fan :) The receptionist are two elderly in their 70s- who I supposed the owners of this Inn. Some Machiya house/ restaurant nearby, in the parking lot I could see a Lamborghini and Porsche :) make me feel this place a quiet luxury regardless of a very competitive price The location is not good for night life, it's very quiet after 6PM nothing to see around. But only 2 mins walk to closest station , you can take train from there to Kyoto Station- just 01 stop, or Kawaramachi station, Shijo station which is close to tourist spot.

    Very nice clean hotel room in a super convenient location (a minute walk to the subway, and one subway stop from Kyoto station). There is no housekeeping (which we actually prefer), but you can request new towels when you need them. We really enjoyed our stay here.
