Breakaway Moonta Bay

Location was great, rooms were set up perfectly for our family, kids loved the board games, beds were very comfy, house was quiet despite the pouring rain and thunderstorms, shower pressure was fantastic and bath for the kids was a great bonus 😊 it was a wet, beach holiday but a great, comfortable place to come back to each night

Bedrooms were a tad smaller than expected but it really didn't effect our stay what so ever. We had us and 3 kids and they had more than enough room!

Very comfortable and clean.

My wife couldn't use the shower as you had to get into the bath to use it. She has hip problems so is restricted in her movement.

Super clean, heaps of space, nice back area with a bqq and close to the beachhhh

The description of the property, on various websites are not a true representation.. It was passable, as far as cleanliness goes, but not great.. We had to use a wok to cook our pancakes, as the only other pan in the kitchen, looked as if it was an ancient artefact.. The other pans in the oven, were covered in thick grease and kitchen cupboard doors were all sticky, so, we had to clean, before we could use anything and did so, with all utensils, cups, plates etc as a precaution and very nearly sliced my hand open on a glass that was broken and put back in the cupboard, prior to our stay.. We could not open the back door, to the rear of the property and had to pry it open with a butter knife, as the lock was all rusted and obviously hadn't been opened, in some time.. Some of the mattresses on the beds, were lumpy and mine in particular, felt like I was sleeping on a slab of concrete and on top of that, 2 mattress protectors, had yellow stains on them, so they were removed, prior to putting our own bedding on.. The property indicates it sleeps up to 10 people, but be aware, there is only enough hot water, for 3 people to shower, so others had to have washes with a flannel... The couch in the family area, is badly stained yellow and could do with a clean, there are no rugs on any of the floorboards throughout, as advertised, the exhaust fans look like they haven't been cleaned in years, not one clock on the walls, told the correct time, the lamp in the family area had a blown globe, there is no 10 seater table and chairs out the back and instead, a tiny 4 seater table.. The 'beer and/or bait fridge, is absolutely filthy and has mould growth, the BBQ had dog hair all over the grill plate and the weeds in the garden were awful.. I mentioned I had disabled people coming to stay and Casey disclosed to me about the shower in the bath, so, I appreciated that, but, the photos of the property, compared to the reality, are vastly different..
