Maison à Tour Briançon

Beautiful apartment about a block from the main shopping and restaurants street in the old town. Loved the large patio where we sat out after cooking and had dinner with a view. Very clean, host was very helpful. She also provides a code to pull up to the street right above the apartment (stairs down to apartment) so you can load and unload, which we used a lot since my aunt is mobility constrained and can’t walk very far. You can’t park up there, but you can stop for a bit to unload. Beds in the apartment were very comfortable, bathroom was sufficient, a good amount of space in the living room for our baby to play. There is a washer and a good sized drying rack that folds up. Kitchen is properly setup for cooking with plates, pans, etc. Quiet and lovely place to stay! You get to drive through 2 old city gates to go in and out of the city!

There were some quirks about the apartment that may be difficult for some and things to note: 1. The apartment does not have a lot (or any) of toilet paper, hand soap or dish soap. It’s expected you bring your own. Just notate that for your stay! The only reason there would be some there when you arrive is if the previous renter left some remaining. 2. The apartment is setup with the first floor (ground floor) hosting the two bedrooms and the second floor hosting the kitchen, bathroom, living room and patio. You will need to climb some old school style small stair set to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Not for the faint of heart! It kind of reminded me of the stair set that you see between top and bottom bunk beds. :) just take a look at the property photos so you know what to expect. 3. The parking is outside of the city about a 5-10 minute walk to the apartment. There is a paid lot (Champs de Mars) which is 2 euros per hour I think but fees only apply during the day. It’s also near the good bakery! Then, there is a street with free parking that is nearby, a similar distance walk, but there was only spots in the evening available there half the time of our stay (and we stayed Sa-Wed during the off season month in May). 4. The trash is about halfway to the paid parking lot walking. I’d maybe recommend taking the trash out daily so you don’t have to haul out a large thing of trash/recycling the day you leave (our mistake haha).

Tutto perfetto, dall' alloggio, alla posizione , all'host Melanie sempre pronta a rispondere a tutte le richieste. Alloggio molto carino e dotato di tutti i confort. Devo solo sottolineare che non è adatto a chi dovesse avere problemi di deambulazione perché per entrare bisogna affrontare una rampa di scale a chiocciola

Lovely comfortable apartment with everything we needed. Really enjoyed being in the old town. Lots of beautiful interesting walks all around the area.

J’ai aimé l’emplacement dans la ville historique, c’est un logement décoré avec soin où rien ne manque. L’hôte Mélanie est très prévenante et agréable. Notre arrivée avait été préparée avec soins. Notre séjour a été au Top. Merci à Mélanie.
