Das Haus ist wunderschön und bietet alles, was man braucht. Die Lage ist toll und Bruno ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber, der sich sehr nett um uns gekümmert hat.

Beautiful modern house with garden, terrace/decking and off road parking. In a quiet location but close to the town centre and the beach. Our host Bruno met us on arrival to show us around and provided lots of useful information on places to see, restaurants, etc. Soulac sur Mer is an architectuarlly beautiful small town/resort, well supplied wth restaurants (L'Instant M recommended) shops, casino, historic Basilica and WW2 Blockhaus remains (spotted a large Wetern Green Lizard at one of thesse). Plenty of places to visit nearby such as the Vieux Port de Huitres in Verdon, the fishermans cottages at Port de Talais, lighthouses such as Phare de Richard and (offshore) Cordouan and numerous vineyards. Also worth taking the ferry to Royan as a foot passenger. Great walks along the beach and in the forest and dunes. Surfer's paradise if you are into that - the waves are big! At the north end of the beach there is a series of sheltered pools which are better for swimming (but watch out for submerged rocks near the sea walls). Really enjoyed our stay.
