Hailsham House

The property had most things we needed.

That a washing machine/dryer was not included.

Beautifully restored old home, big spacious rooms well maintained. This house was just stunning, I loved it.

Road/train/traffic noise. Unfortunately this house sits directly below the main road and the main bedroom window opens out on to it. And it is busy and noisy. If you don't need to open the window or like to sit outside then you will be fine. But I was disappointed that despite being in The Blue Mountains I wasn't able to enjoy the serenity. If it is winter and you are indoors then this will be fine. But it was summer and I love to be outside.

Breakfast was not provided. No basics in the kitchen were provided such as milk or oil. No hairdryer was available. Central heating was excellent.

The house sleeps six adults but the lounges in the tv room or the lounge room could only have 3to4 adults which made socialising difficult.

kitchen and bathrooms were fine. beds were ok lots of room good parking - easy to get to and from house clean internet ok

a little noisy from highway and train line strange tv/lounge room location old and poor tv etc. poor tv reception. essentially unusable much of the time. electrical tripping in kitchen - when using the rangehood fan. multiple circuit breaker trips. dining room chairs rickety and close to collapse high cost for house for what it was.
