Nice and Pleasant

I travelled to Sarandë for work and chose Kalemi’s Hotel because several friends, who stay there regularly during the summer, spoke very highly of it. It fully lived up to what I had been told. It is a lovely, family run hotel, almost right on the sea, with a public beach directly in front and convenient access to parking. The Kalemi family’s hospitality was warm and genuine, and I understood they speak several foreign languages. The hotel’s location is quiet and away from the noise, and most importantly it has private parking, which is certainly a big advantage in Sarandë and something many visitors will appreciate. My room was clean, spacious, and equipped with everything I needed. The view from the balcony is spectacular, looking out over the entire Ionian Sea with Corfu Island directly opposite, with no obstructions. It was wonderful, I fell asleep listening to the sound of the waves. I will definitely make time to return for a holiday with my family.

Beautiful

The hotel is right by the sea and next to the beach. It’s run by a wonderful, highly professional family who are always there for their guests. The room was perfect — very clean and with an amazing view of the sea all the way to Corfu. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Another great feature of this hotel is its private, secure parking (which is hard to find in Saranda) and its convenient location close to everything. The photos I saw on Booking.com were exactly what I found in person — just note that prices vary depending on the type of room and view, which is completely fair and standard for all accommodations. You truly get what you pay for. A big thank you to the Kalemi family for the exceptional hospitality! I will definitely return

Exceptional Staff!

The staff were exceptional - professional & friendly. So warm & helpful. From carrying our bags as soon as they saw us enter the carpark, to greeting us with a cold glass of water on arrival (it was a hot day & we'd walked from the bus) getting us beach towels for our swim & an umbrella to get to the restaurant that night as it was pouring with rain. The staff were the highlight of the stay. Bonus points for the tea at breakfast it was exceptional. Not a teabag in sight :-) The bed was comfy & the bath towels were large & fluffy. The balcony had a small clothesline (with pegs!!!) perfect for wet swimmers.

It was a little challenging to find (we were walking from bus stop) but staff gave us directions when we called. The room (& bathroom) was on the small side but was fine for a 1 night stay. Room would feel very tight for floor space if both people had medium or large suitcase's.

The hotel is family run, the family were all very friendly and helpful and the staff James and Jojo couldn't do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. We will be returning and strongly recommend this hotel. Great value.

Mesmerising stay

Great stay , really kind owners ! Delicious breakfast and really clean rooms attended at daily. The structure has private parking , something rare in Saranda ! You should also try Litsa’s virgin olive oil as it is the best! The rooms are really comfortable and the view from the terrace is quite amazing ! We will definitely come back !

Good for the price!

The staff were friendly although not very helpful. They cleaned the rooms often but not thoroughly. The breakfast most days was delicious and the view from the balcony was beautiful.

The staff on the first day did not give us the right room as the triple was not ready. I found it a bit unprofessional to give us the wrong key and hope we would not notice rather than ask us to wait ten minutes. The POS machine was down and they did not mention that we could pay by bank transfer. The conversion rates on the atms were terrible. I finally asked if we could pay the rest by bank transfer and the host said he had told us that before but I was not paying attention. Incredibly unprofessional and condescending especially because I was paying close attention.

Stunning sea views, warm hospitality, and peaceful comfort make this hotel a perfect retreat!

I booked a double room with a sea view, and from the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the endless blue stretching out before me — absolutely breathtaking. The room itself was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. While the bathroom was a bit on the small side, it didn’t affect my overall comfort or enjoyment. Breakfast each morning was plentiful and delicious, offering a great variety to start the day right. Despite the hotel being fully booked during my stay, it remained quiet and peaceful — a rare and welcome combination. The on-site parking was a huge bonus, especially since we noticed that parking in the surrounding area is quite limited and can be challenging. What really made the stay stand out, though, was the warmth and kindness of the family who runs the hotel. Their willingness to assist at any hour did not go unnoticed and was truly appreciated. Even when some guests were a bit noisy themselves, the staff remained attentive and gracious. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially to families or couples looking for tranquility and a place to unwind outdoors. Whether or not your room comes with a sea view, the large shared terrace is a beautiful space to relax with a drink or soak up the sunshine. Thank you for a lovely and memorable stay Kalemis family.

Everything! Our stay at Kalemi Beach was truly wonderful. We had a beautiful sea view room with a balcony — waking up to the sound of the waves and that breathtaking view was magical. The location is perfect, just steps from the beach and the room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a relaxing stay. What truly made our experience special, though, were the owners. They are some of the kindest and most welcoming people we’ve met — so passionate about their place and incredibly helpful with everything we needed. It felt more like staying with friends than at a hotel. Kalemi Beach is a peaceful little paradise in Saranda, ideal if you’re looking to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the Albanian Riviera. Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing staying

Kalemis Hotel is a seaside hotel with views that extend all the way to the island of Corfu. The room was clean and spacious enough for me. Breakfast was very fresh and plentiful for what you pay. What impressed me most was how many hours the owners worked and the care they showed towards their guests. Warm and great stay

I had a wonderful time. The room was very clean and much better than I expected, especially for the price I paid. The view was exclusive. Preparations were being made for the opening of the season, just like in all the surrounding hotels. There was private, fenced parking — something you couldn't find anywhere else nearby. I will definitely return again during the summer.

Lovely hotel with a welcoming atmosphere

The lovely greek family owning the hotel and their staff. It was such a welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast, especially the coffee, was awesome. The room was clean with a nice balcony and view towards the island Corfu. They are renovating at the moment so the facilities should be up to date for the season. Looking forward to comjng back and experience the renovated facilities, especially the terrace.

Pure delightful stay

First of all the welcome on arrival and the friendliness of everyone. All the family and Tom (boyfriend of the daughter Victoria both helping out on their holiday from UK) always smiling and asking how I was and anything I needed. Accommodation was spotless and comfortable. Well situated and close to everything. Breakfast was filling with excellent service. Excellent place to stay. I stayed 4 nights and value for money.

The most amazing hosts

I would really like to emphasize how great the hosts are. The hotel is managed and taken care by an amazing family, who does everything at their power to give the guests the best experience. we felt as if we were home. Good (but limited) breakfast. Location is fine, 10-minute walk to the boulevard.

I would never stay here and I have no idea why the rating was as high as it was I’m booking

It was dirty. I have pictures. My kids said it was worst then their hostels. Someone tried to get into our room twice during the night. I told the manager who said that his security told him there were two drunk guys that did it to a couple of rooms. Why would the security officer allow that to happen? And why did the manager not do anything about it?

Best service I’ve experienced in a long time!

They made me feel like family. The owners went out of their way to fix breakfast for me after missing it in the morning, and upon my departure, they drove me to Vlorë, a 2.5 hour drive.

I have been visiting this hotel for many years. At the hotel entrance it says: ''Come in as guests leave as Family ''. You feel this every time we leave this beautiful family, the environment is warm and welcoming. The breakfast is handmade by the hosts and changes every day. the hotel has endless terraces with unlimited sea views. The rooms are cleaned daily and are quite spacious. I spent the most relaxing vacations, would come back again.

Everything for me was perfect. The room was clean and well equipped, there were loads of different places and terraces that you could sit and enjoy your coffee with a breathtaking view, breakfast was really tasty. It was a very beautiful surprise! From the moment you arrive at Hotel KALEMI’S, you feel the hospitality, the behavior, and the culture of this professional family in tourism, who, as far as we understood, speak more than 4 foreign languages. The breakfast was perfect, the room very clean, the hotel's facilities are spacious and available to the clients. The parking is at the hotel's entrance, surrounded and secured throughout the night, which makes you feel very safe for everything. My reservation was for one day, and I stayed for 5 days. Because of the environment, the ideal behavior, the service, the magical view from the balcony, and what this family offers, you leave with a feeling that you haven't experienced in any other hotel! Amazing hotel

The hotel was very clean and cozy. It had everything we wanted. It was away from the hectic noise of the city centre but also really close to the city centre as well (10-15min walk). The breakfast was different everyday and the dishes varied, very delicious breakfast hand-made. The selection of the breakfast was great and enough to kick start your day! The restaurant on site was cozy and nice, it had daily menu with grill and delicious salads every day! The hotel has private parking, which is free. The private beach was really nice as well and it was cleaned every day by the owners. The real gem of this place though is the family that runs it, Konstantinos, Vangelia, Alex Vasia and Ilia are the best and most friendly hotel owners I’ve ever met! They set an example of how tourism is made right, as they treated us with kindness and we really felt like home! There’s a saying at the entrance of the hotel “ come as guests leave as family” and we really felt this way! Thanks Kalemi’s family for everything, we will meet you again !

A lovely place full of charm and kindness!

From the moment we entered the hotel the kindness, hospitality and eagerness of the owners to help us filled our heart. The place is run by a lovely family, the rooms are really clean and are taken care of daily. The hotel has great outdoor spaces where you can enjoy their lovely fish ( the terrace overlooking the sea was our favourite). Breakfast was freshly cooked everyday and it was changed everyday. The centre was only one kilometre away. Near the hotel there were plenty of private beaches you could choose from. We had booked for one night but ended up staying 4 nights, the guests made us feel as if we were part of the family, Gracias Kalemi family.

Bad

It was a bad experience for me and my husband. The room was small,they didn't have photo of the room because was terrible and not clean. The bed was too old,maybe since the hotel is opened. The toilet didn't work and the air condition also. The music start playing from 7:30 and it was noizy for us,we couldn't sleep. The owners was bad people,at the moment that we said them the problem of our room the answer was, "if you like it you can stay if not, you can go out". And the worst think was that this hotel had not elevator,we must went at the second floor by the stairs.

The cherry on top of Albania trip

Kalemi’s family was extremely welcoming and helpful. Room was very nice and kept clean. Beach view was amazing. The city center is 15 minutes walking from the hotel. They stored luggage after our check out to spend time in Saranda until the bus departure time which was also very helpful. They were able to bring us a ta i any time we need. Different breakfast set menu daily and was soo tasty . Also we booked a boat trip through the hotel Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Kalemi and Costantinos are going to show you the Albanian hospitality. The apartment was wide and offered all the tools to join the place. Beachside is the right word. You can appreciate the seaside with Corfù in the offing. Breakfast with homemade homelette was gnammy

Superb

Breakfast is not standard as you get different menus every day. If you do not like the menu you can always ask to change it or eat some marmalade or honey. A couple of times we ate dinner at the hotel and the fish and grill squids were good. Konstantinos and his family are super friendly and very helpful. He even came and helped me sort out some misunderstandings in the local shop. The cleanliness of the room and overall of the hotel was exceptional, they even changed our bed linens after 3 days and the room was always spotless. I would definitely recommend the stay at this hotel. It offers a good ratio between 3 stars hotel and the price.

This goes to the location of Sarande and the nearby beach. The beaches are all payable, crowded and quite small. If you want to do better you need to drive around.

I liked the location. Close to the city center and the nice beach where you can rent affordable sun beds and umbrellas. I also liked the family vibe from the owners of the place. Very friendly and nice people . Breakfast were always freshly made each morning and it was good . Rooms were clean. I also liked it was quite and peaceful at night so great for good night sleep. Also great coffee and wine is available at the bar of the hotel for additional price .

The hotel is wonderful! Starting from the fact that the owner and his family are very hospitable and kind, ending with the service. The rooms were cleaned daily, they always smelled good and the staff was very nice. Breakfast every day was different and very tasty. Fresh food, delicious drinks and many different sweets. The hotel is close to the sea, which made our life much easier! And special thanks to the owner for taking us to the hotel from the airport in case of problems. Great hotel and people, highly recommended!
