A very quiet relaxing place to stay. A little outdated in some areas but all in all the peace and quiet outweighs any issues in my opinion

Location: The Blossom is located on a small, mostly residential island. Getting to and from the hotel is best done by vehicle. Villa: Old and tired but clean. Our villa came with a steam room but we didn't use it. Bathroom: Large with a full-size tub but the bathroom was dark and the single light did not provide sufficient illumination. Toilet: The toilet was separate from the bathroom in it's own separate space. The bidet seat was a welcome feature although the pictorial request not to dispose of toilet paper in the toilet was, erm, bizarre. Perhaps they have their own septic system. Some of the things in the room were not working, like the USB ports on one side of the bed. Other things were switches that seemed to control nothing. The bathroom exhaust fan could not be switched off. The toilet door lock, a sliding wooden block, was missing its retaining block so it kept falling off the door. Wardrobe space was tiny for a large room. Restaurant: Food was okay. Breakfast spread was so-so. Pool: Small; didn't use. Spa and onsen: Didn't use the onsen. Had a body and foot massage. Those were good! I am not recommending this hotel due to its location and that it's older and tired although it was comfortable and the price was fantastic, likely because it was off-peak. YMMV due to expectations, though.

Loved this place. Originally booked a river view but got 'upgraded' to the garden - we didn't mind though as the river view is obstructed with construction. Great onsen experience. Fantastic breakfast. Amazing staff
