Poppa’s Paradise is where three generations of our family unplugged, laughed, and made summer memories in the Wisconsin Northwoods. Now it’s your turn to roast marshmallows by the fire, play late-night games, and wake up to the scent of pine drifting through the trees.
Mornings begin with loon calls and coffee on the dock as the lake slowly comes to life. Wander into town for pancakes at Toad in the Hole or a latte from Red Canoe Coffee. Spend your day swimming, paddling, fishing, or simply dozing in the shade. As the sun dips low, grill dinner and gather around the lakeside firepit beneath a sky full of stars. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.
Dock details: The dock is about 30 feet in length and about three feet deep at the end.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

This house has everything you need for a relaxing trip to the North Woods. The lake behind the house was beautiful and clean. The house is located all the way at the end of the street so it's very private. The neighbors were quiet and respectful at night and the owner was available for any questions. The house had room to host a family of 4-5.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Poppa's Paradise in Eagle River, WI, and I must say it was an absolutely phenomenal experience! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this vacation house was something special.
The first thing that struck me was the breathtaking view. Nestled right by the water, Poppa's Paradise offers stunning vistas of the lake, especially during sunrise and sunset. The tranquility of the surroundings immediately put us in a relaxed, vacation state of mind.
The house itself is impeccably maintained and beautifully decorated, combining rustic charm with modern amenities. Every room was spotless and well-appointed, providing a cozy yet luxurious feel. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals, and the spacious living area was perfect for both relaxing and entertaining.
One of the highlights of our stay was the outdoor space. The private dock was ideal for fishing and kayaking, and we spent many hours just enjoying the peaceful ambiance by the water.
The hosts were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They provided great recommendations for local attractions and dining, which enhanced our experience even more. It’s clear they take great pride in Poppa's Paradise, and their attention to detail truly made us feel at home.
Poppa's Paradise is a true gem in Eagle River. Whether you're looking for a serene getaway or an adventurous vacation, this house has it all. I can’t recommend it highly enough and am already looking forward to our next visit. Five stars all the way!

This property was advertised as immaculate and well appointed in every room. We did not find that to be an accurate description. The cleanliness was fair…mold in the bathroom caulk…a toilet that leaked condensation on the floor…mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers…a dish drainer that needed bleach and a cleaning brush.The kitchen supplies were abysmal. If you intend to kick back and cook and eat in, it’s nearly impossible in this property: one mixing bowl….no measuring spoons or dry measuring cups…no pizza pan or cutting wheel…not one knife able to slice a loaf of bread. My list could go on and on, but you get the idea. The property sits on nice piece of wooded lakefront. But our solitude was interrupted by the blaring of music from across the channel on most days. Both fire alarms unnecessarily sounded, at different times, during our stay. We spent most of our first evening trying to connect to the internet with the WRONG INFORMATION that was given to us to sign in. This property really has great potential…and it wouldn’t take a huge investment to make it wonderful.
