About this apartment rental
We would like to present our ground floor apartment in the lovely village of Torre Orsaia. The apartment is on 2 levels. Downstairs is fully open plan with a newly gotten kitchen. 2 x settees which fold out to form 2 x double beds and a dining table. There is also a new 42” TV. Upstairs arrives to a open area that we use as storage and for the suitcases. This goes onto the double bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom has a double bed and also a cot and blow up kids bed if required.
Overall it can sleep 6 adults plus the cot but this would be very tight and just bear in mind 4 would be sleeping downstairs in the open plan area. We have done it just fine as a family but understand everyone is different.
Their is an air Con unit into the open plan section. Upstairs in the bedroom we use fans if it’s too warm.
The village itself is lovely and nestled in the mountains but only a 10/15 min drive to the nearest beach.
The more popular Palinuro and Marina do camerota beaches are around a 20 min drive.
If you like to stay local and want a peaceful holiday hanging around the village piazza is amazing and so laid back. With a few pizzerias and places to eat. It’s probably the most sleepy village you could wish to go to. The people are all so friendly and often will leave you vegetables / fruits and wine on the doorstep !!
The apartment itself I wouldn’t describe as luxurious but very comfortable and such a great base to explore the southern Amalfi region at a fraction of the cost.
The food and wine is outside of this world and very cheap in and around the village. Our favourite places are:
Scario
Maratea
Palinuro
Marina di camerota
