The property was good for pets. We couldn't get the gas furnace to work. The house cleaner left a load of towels in the dryer. It would've been good to have the checkout list posted and the directions to the gym posted. Overall, a great, cozy place! The issues were very minor at most! Just wanted to let you know incase you want any pointers.

We have enjoyed couple nights at this property with friends. Great location close enough to north of Lake Tahoe and nice to explore Truckee downtown. Property is close to nature allowing for a disconnect in incredibly quiet neighbourhood. Nice paths for dog walks from the property. There was some basics we felt were missing that would make the property more appealing (no scissors or chopping board, limited glass wear/ clutter in cupboards etc.)Please check your property for rodents we have spotted a mouse in the kitchen in the evening, it went under the oven.

We liked our stay in this home, specifically the size (for 5 adults plus kids) and location. The back area was nice for well behaved outdoor loving pets to run around in. The garage is a spacious one for a single vehicle. The kids enjoyed the upstairs loft, and played lots of Candyland and Battleship. We appreciated the crib (we usually bring ours so this saved us some trunk space). We are frequent renters in the area, so this feedback is based on our experience compared to others and the price paid.
This is a decent place to stay, overall it’s rated 3 because we unfortunately cannot outright recommend it without caveats. It is very likely this place is better suited for the summer- there are challenges with the heating system - the downstairs rooms, next to the furnace are too hot at 68F, and upstairs too cold. There is a nice patio and we saw a grill out, great for summer.
Generally the home missed some basic items - minimal to no shelving / drawers in the bedrooms as well as some kitchen items we have always found in other homes. But we were able to still use the kitchen to make multiple meals.
Overall it’s a good size home in a great area (we are partial to Tahoe Donner); we didn’t feel cramped and that was what we were paying for!
