About this apartment rental
Our vacation rental, located in the home of Irish silversmith Jason Mac Gabhann, is situated directly on the avenue leading to Basthorst Castle.
Walking through the castle park, you’ll reach Lake Glambeck—about 500 meters away—which features a natural swimming area and a large sunbathing lawn.
The small village of Basthorst—now a district of Crivitz—is nestled in a gently rolling terminal moraine landscape not far from the Warnow River’s headwaters. In recent years, it has become a hidden gem for golfers, hikers, water sports enthusiasts, cyclists, and, last but not least, art lovers.
An art gallery, a felt workshop, a small street café with a herb shop, and a very special flower shop can also be found here.
The cultural offerings of the Schlosshotel and its dining options are open to everyone.
Small markets and events also take place several times a year.
Our 74 m² vacation apartment has been available for booking since June 2020.
The newly furnished, non-smoking apartment is located on the first floor.
When the weather is nice, you can enjoy the seating area in front of the house in addition to the balcony.
In a small outbuilding, you’ll find garden cushions as well as many other items to make your stay in the apartment even more enjoyable.
The icing on the cake—a small permanent exhibition in the house
In the hallway and stairwell leading to our vacation rental, there is a small, constantly changing permanent exhibition.
Acrylic and watercolor paintings, prints, and aquatint prints, as well as crafts made from natural materials and pottery, are on display and available for purchase.
This also includes our book *Wild Plants for the Kitchen and Home Remedies* by Ursula Schönfeld and Petra Neugebauer
As a co-author, I’d be happy to help you schedule herb walks or workshops.

We provide brochures and information on excursions and are happy to offer personalized advice at
on walks and excursions in the surrounding area, e.g., Glasermoor, the Forest Glass Museum, giant sequoias, etc.

Our 74 m² non-smoking vacation rental is located on the first floor of our house and features 1 living room, 1 kitchen, and 2 bedrooms (Bedroom 1 with a double bed and Bedroom 2 with 2 single beds), as well as a bathroom with a shower and toilet.
The bedrooms and living areas are equipped with insect screens and sun protection.
Your sleeping comfort is important to us; solid-wood beds with high-quality mattresses invite you to rest.
The kitchen is equipped with a stove/oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, and coffee maker.
From here, you can step out onto the balcony overlooking the garden.
A spacious living room invites you to relax, even on rainy days.
A TV and Wi-Fi are available, as are books and board games.
In the shower room, you’ll find both a radiator and underfloor heating; a hair dryer is provided.
Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and check-out from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
