Tucked among the evergreens on the 17th hole of the Prospector Golf Course, this Cle Elum house is a place for taking in the year-round beauty of Suncadia Resort. Spend your summers practicing your drive, renting watercraft for the lake, and playing tennis and horseshoes at the nearby parks. Come winter, you can step outside your backdoor and go cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on the golf course.

This two-level lodge is ideally situated within Suncadia Resort, one block from Battista Park's basketball courts and horseshoe pits, one mile from both the Village Lake and the tennis courts at Dawson Park, and right alongside the Prospector Golf Course. You'll even have four bikes at home to help you explore the resort's extensive trail system.

Step inside to find a host of elegant details inspired by nature - stone tile, a stacked stone fireplace and breakfast bar, richly hued wood at every turn, and a built-in, live-edge desk in the office. Leave the day's clothes and gear in the laundry room and make yourself at home in the living room, where you can light the gas fireplace, watch TV, and enjoy the light of generous windows beneath two-story ceilings. The adjacent kitchen is full of small luxuries (a wine chiller, a convection microwave, a gas oven and stovetop, and a large refrigerator/freezer), while the dining room is warmed by the other side of the living room fireplace.

The covered outdoor patio is equally inviting, offering a gas grill and firepit, as well as plentiful cushioned seating with views of the trees and the golf course. As for entertainment, choose from a Ping-Pong table in the garage, a pool table upstairs, and Amazon Fire TV Sticks on each of the TVs.

My girls and I had a real nice time at the property. Looking forward to going back as soon as we can.

Overall the property and our stay was great. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was that the A/C wasn’t working. I did a little investigating and learned the fan on the outside unit wasn’t running, so it couldn’t cool the air. HVAC just blew warm air. I contacted Vacasa, the property manager, to let them know. I also shut off the breakers so it didn’t just run constantly blowing warm air. They were responsive and said they’d send someone. Since it was the weekend and we were leaving Monday morning, I didn’t figure we’d see anyone during our stay. This issue needed an HVAC technician, and I’m sure would need to get on someone’s schedule. We closed all the drapes during the day, then opened all the windows at night and stayed cool enough to still enjoy. We spend much of our time outside anyway, and the patio and grounds next to golf course are very enjoyable. It’s a wonderful house in a great neighborhood, and we definitely plan to stay again. We’re betting the air conditioner will be operational next time we come too!

The patio and outdoor furniture were so dirty that they were not usable. The hot tub was set to 89 degrees. Vacasa gaslighted our concerns. I paid more than $600 per night for what I thought was a nice house on the golf course so that I could relax on the patio and in the hot tub. The patio furniture was so dirty that we could not sit in it without needing to change clothes afterwards. It was clear that they had not been cleaned in some time. The hot tub was cold. I contacted Vacasa and sent pictures. At first, Vacasa agreed that someone needed to come to the property. The next day Vacasa said that it did not have anyone that could help with the patio furniture. It also said that cleaning the patio could not be done because the wind was blowing. Standing at the property, I can safely say that the wind was not blowing. I contacted Vacasa again and they said that the property was located in the mountains and that a dirty patio was to be expected. I responded that Suncadia was not in the mountains; that it was in a golf course community of $1.5MM homes. Vacasa said "sorry to hear that." Vacasa also changed their story and said that the patio was dirty because there had been a storm. I responded that there had not been a storm, that a storm would not have caused the cob webs, and that the subject property was much dirtier than any of the surrounding properties. Vacasa responded with "is there anything else [it] can do to help?" I will note that someone did come to look at the hot tub about halfway through our stay after I got it working. The basic problem seems to be that Vacasa's own cleaning check list only requires the housekeepers to clean the BBQ and make sure the hot tub is turned on. (The check list was on the kitchen counter.) And that was followed by very poor customer service. There is one more item that may be worth mentioning. The 'community activities' book had events and flyers from 2020. It did not bother us, but it is probably indicative of Vacasa's lack of service. The house is physically ok. Vacasa should be avoided.
