DON'T RUIN YOUR COLORADO VACATION BECAUSE OF ALTITUDE SICKNESS! Many travelers, like me, come to Colorado from a much lower elevation and have a hard time adjusting to the much thinner air. Many folks get sick or just do not feel well for days until they acclimate. This can ruin your vacation. I know, I owned a home in the Breckenridge Valley for 5 years and every time we came for a visit we would feel lightheaded and could not sleep for days. Many of our friends would get sick, some seriously. We love Colorado, but this was risky for our elderly parents, my brother in law with a heart condition and my Son with lung problems. SO I MOVED to the lowest elevation I could find and still be close to everything. This nice Canadian Log Home is only 8 minutes from the Highway in Silverthorne and still close to everything. Yet the house is full 2400 vertical feet lower than Breckenridge and what a difference! If you have anyone in your group that you are concerned about or just do not want to take the risk I highly recommend staying here, Its not sea level but I can assure you it is the lowest elevation you will find in the area.
