The property was well suited for our stay. There were several issues that I believe could have been avoided if some preventive maintenance had been performed.
1) Although the HVAC system probably worked to cool the house, because the nights were cooler than normal, I tried running the system in the heater mode and it failed to work. Since it was not possible to have a technician address this in short order, we were immediately provided with a small room heater. Because the temperature in the house was 5 degrees warmer on the following nights, we were able to get by withouf additional heat.
2) The smoke detector was beeping upon arrival and continued through the first night. This was immediately corrected after reported.
3) The coffee maker would not work but, again, it was immediately replaced when reported.
4) When I went to take a shower, the shower curtain a rod fell. I was able to put the expansion rod back in place. The type of support used is likely to result in the curtain falling again.
5) when leaving at the end of my stay, I attempted to lock the door but the keyless lock did not work. I had to report to Vrbo Customer Service that the house remained unlocked. If this had occurred earlier during my stay, I would have had no way to secure my belongings.
Finally, when checking the area before leaving, I found three used socks and a plastic cup under one of the beds that had been left by the previous occupants.

Property is as listed.. communication with the host was a plus.. it is an older home.. the bathrooms have been remodeled..water pressure was good.. we didn’t try the back yard.. it rained most of the week we were there.. they had extra futon mattresses..there was parking for five vehicles, two in the garage and three in front of the garage.. neighborhood was quiet and neighbors were friendly.

We stayed at this property in Jan 23.. Overall, it met our needs , there were 4 adults and we had plenty of space. The long kitchen counter came in handy and we used the family room in evenings to watch tv and talk..
The neighborhood street was quiet and we had no issies there.
When we rented this property, the listing boasted the words, "Sparkly clean!" We wouldnt give it a 5 star rating based on cleanliness for a few reasons: To us, it seemed the cleaner was in a real hurry or didnt care...the kitchen trash bag was full of garbage, the kuerig coffee pot water dispenser was not clean at all, there was food remains in one of the bedrooms and our sheets had some hair on them...so instead of complaining too much, and since there were cleaning supplies there and laundry machines, we spent the first evening washing sheets and towels , vacuuming, and washing the appliances and dishes so we could feel good about using them. The house just needs some TLC.. we ended up having to call Austin, property manager, who was very responsive, and sent out a maintenance guy (very nice!) To fix the hall toilet that would not flush with handle...and to fix the towlbar that kept falling off wall. We also tried to have him fix the outlets that wouldnt work, but he couldnt. A few hours after he left, thetoilet stopped flushing again..we also changed out lightbulbs on our own that were burned out. Back yard is big and nice but needs cleaning up...couldn't sit outside- too dirty.
