Villa Elise
This beautiful villa is situated on a large property and offers complete privacy in one of the most picturesque parts of the Algarve. This rural setting in an area known as Vale d'el Rei offers the best of both worlds: peaceful countryside tranquility, yet just a few kilometers from one of the most beautiful beaches on the coast, such as Praia da Marinha, often cited as one of the top 10 beaches in Europe for its stunning rock formations that characterize the Algarve’s beautiful coastline. Villa Elise is located halfway between Carvoeiro and Porches, just a few minutes’ drive from all the bars, restaurants, shops, local pottery stores, water parks, and a whole range of beautiful beaches—so the area truly has something for everyone. The house itself is tastefully decorated in a Moorish style and offers ample space for up to 10 people, with 4 en-suite bedrooms and an additional bedroom next to the master suite that can accommodate up to 2 children. The mature grounds offer views over the valley, and the large pool—with separate shallow areas—completes the picture, along with a well-covered terrace and a barbecue.

A driveway leads to the entrance. The front door opens into the entry hall with a guest coat closet. To the right is the dining area, fully equipped for 8 people; this leads to the kitchen, which features a breakfast table, dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, and a separate utility room where you’ll find the refrigerator/freezer and washing machine. A door leads from here to the covered patio with a barbecue and dining area overlooking the garden and the pool. From the dining area, take one step down to the living room, which features a central glass atrium, leather sofas, a wood-burning stove, a flat-screen TV, a DVD player, and a docking station. French doors open onto a covered terrace overlooking the garden. From the living room, proceed to the bedroom hallway, where you’ll find two bedrooms with twin beds and one bedroom with a double bed, all with en-suite bathrooms featuring showers and all with French doors opening onto the garden and pool. A staircase from the entrance leads to the upper floor, where you’ll find the master bedroom with a double bed and an en suite bathroom featuring a corner tub and a separate shower. French doors open onto a covered terrace with stunning views of the countryside. The fifth bedroom, adjacent to the master bedroom, is ideal for a child; it features a single bed in a “daybed” style, along with a pull-out single bed, and French doors opening onto the same terrace as the master bedroom, which also has a direct staircase leading downstairs. the pool and gardens.

Villa Elise was the perfect spot for our group of 9 - two families, including 5 teens. The villa is beautiful, with perfectly sized bedrooms (4 en suite), all with access to either the gardens or the second floor terrace. The pool is amazing, as are all the various seating areas around the gardens. The location is a wonderfully easy drive into the main town (Carvoeiro) and its many beaches and restaurants. The local team were always available for support when we needed it, and further recommended a private chef whom we hired for multiple meals throughout the week which was perhaps the best part! (Roos van Dalfsen, she is AMAZING!) This is a brilliant find and we will absolutely return for another amazing week in Algarve.
