About this villa rental

Ses Cases Noves is a property with a fantastic old house completely renovated, swimming pool, parking, garden, lawn and impressive views of the sea and the mountain, in one of the best paradises of Mallorca: the beautiful and quiet village of Banyalbufar.

The house is located in a privileged location at the crossroads of the beautiful mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana, recently declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, with the Mediterranean Sea, beautiful, calm and seemingly infinite.

In two minutes on foot you will have at your disposal the best cafés and restaurants in the area, and in ten minutes on foot you will head to the beautiful beach of Banyalbufar, located in a spectacular cliff and its always refreshing and sweet waterfall. If you prefer, you can also access the beach by car in just three minutes. From there you can also walk to the small beach of Sa Galera, about ten minutes along a small path.

And if you are a nature lover, like hiking or cycling, you have everything at the door of your new home, this, and you can multiply your possibilities with small trips to the also very beautiful neighbouring villages of Estellencs, Deià, Valldemossa and Sóller, among others.

And all this is located just 25 km from the city of Palma de Mallorca (30 minutes by car) with its always majestic monumental buildings such as La Seu (the Cathedral), the Almudaina Palace, the gardens of S'Hort del Rei and the Bellver Castle.

And after a hectic day, relax in your house with the pool and the beautiful sea views and in good company enjoying your favourite drinks and a delicious dinner, cooked on the barbecue or in the modern kitchen of the house. And then, simply enjoy at home one of the best sunsets you can find on the island, which will allow you to delay the maximum nightfall.

In the house there is dishwasher and washing machine detergent, and toilet paper, hand soap and barbecue charcoal. You will also find beach towels so you don't have to bring your suitcases. You can enjoy during your stay a ping pong table where you can enjoy.

In winter you will find 6 bags of pellets for the heating system. If you need more, you can buy them in the same house.

We had a blast staying at this house and exploring the village and surrounding areas. My partner and I got engaged while hanging out in the pool and overlooking the ocean. It was breathtaking. My only gripe was having service/cleaning people show up right at 10 AM on the day of our departure. It was jarring to feel forced out and we would have liked a little later check out time for the amount we spent to stay there for four nights. The house could also use some new furniture. Its really outdated and the sofa has some holes in it and just makes you sweat when sitting on it. The beds in the secondary bedrooms are just single beds pushed together. A queen bed or two would go a long way towards making people feel like they are getting their moneys worth. Otherwise a great stay in a beautiful house.

Actually, the house is more beautiful than in the pictures. The views are breathtaking: especially the morning look at the sea and mountains at the same time! It was great to relax in the garden full of flowers and fruit trees. I won't name species, not to spoil the surprise :) Everything is in perfect condition, well and practically designed, so that you can just relax and don't have to worry about anything. The sourrounding is quiet, local citizens very friendly and open. There are a few small shops with local products and handcraft. On Thursdays, there is a market, where you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables, as well as local food specialties. Nearby, there is also a small vineyard Son Vives – thay also have their small shop in the town centre, where you can taste their wines (traditionally produced Malvasia, due to difficulties in cultivation of grapes on terraces). In Banyalbufar, there are numerous small cafes and restaurants, for instance, in the very middle of the town, there is a 1661 Restaurant, where you can taste local dishes, liqueurs from Mallorca and beer brewed in Tramuntana Mountains. They have run out of it short before our visit unfortunatelly, but we will catch up during our next visit :) On our way to the beach, we stepped in Can Paco and although we ordered cortados only, the really nice and talkative staff convinced us to stay longer next time :) There are two ways connecting the house with the natural, charming Cala Banyalbufar beach, both of them are perfect for a pleasant walk with picturesque views. On the way, you can encounter ripe, unbelievably sweet figs, as well as many other surprises. If you decide to walk toward Estellencs, you will reach another natural beach (2 km), also walking down a path with beautiful views. The path starts after you pass Torre del Verger. In the neighbouring area, the most impressive for us was the road down to (and back from) Valdemossa Port, which we won't forget soon, since it turned out to be more interesting than the way to Sa Calobra. Joan was a very nice and helpful host. Although we arrived at night, giving the keys to us was not a problem for him. He thought of everything while preparing the house for visitors and he welcomed us warmly. He also revailed to us that he's planning to make a swimming pool available in the next year :) I guess we will come back!

The house has been beautifully restored, with good taste, preserving its charm while providing a nice minimalistic touch. It is spacious and warm at the same time. There are several wonderful spots inside and outside the house. You hardly have the time to enjoy each and every one of them. The owners are very kind, willing to make your stay enjoyable. The reforms they are planning will make it still even better. We will for sure repeat our stay, ant not just once! Toni & Laura
