About this villa rental
Bijou is small but perfect. Its unique location is a world of its own. It sits on the rocks looking out on to the Ionian Sea on the south side of Kaminaki beach. The sound of the sea and of churning pebbles on the beach bellow, the sea breeze air, the front row view of a rising sun make Bizou the perfect honey moon grotto, a writer’s source of inspiration, a holidaymaker’s dream. A natural stone paved terrace furnished with a pair of sun loungers and a dining table for meals under the stars add to an intimate dreamy atmosphere. Bijou is reached by a few stone steps that lead down to the beach and is only moments away from Kaminaki beach and village tavernas. Its proximity to the beach makes it possible to hire a boat rather than a car during your stay turning even food shopping into a holiday adventure. The recently renovated interior with beautifully kept wooden surfaces give Bizou the feeling of a luxury boat cabin. Double glazed windows and thick stone walls, however, create a cozy and dry home environment. A delicious kitchenette, double bed and a small sitting and dining area aesthetically fill the room. Even the shower room looks out to sea with an equally breathtaking effect.

As a result of a wonderful holiday at Bijou in 2014, my wife and I decided to revisite it again in 2015, but on this occasion stay for 3 weeks. In our view it is a perfect location, being only a few steps away from the beach and sea yet still enjoying both seclusion and privacy. An added bonus for us was meeting the Katsarou family (owners), Christina, Nicole & Spiros, whom we now regard as friends.
On this occasion we did not hire a car, but instead used the local sea taxi to visit nearby Taverna's along the coast, when not visiting either of the two Tavernas within a couple of minutes walk of Bijou.
We are now counting off the months until our next visit in September 2016, and can't wait to meet up with Christina and her parents again and stay at this idyllic location.

We have been staying at Bijou for many years and just love the location and setting. The property is always offered in an excellent condition and Christina is always so helpful and accommodating. A boat is the perfect way to get around and gives you access to some beautiful bays and waterside tavernas!
