Gas Lamp Section Beach Cottage

It came as advertised. The cottage was clean. The closets are ample and empty allowing storage of suitcases, clothing or in our case Christmas presents to take home with us. The furniture very comfortable and like new. Everything worked! The owner is very responsive to any request. The entire cottage is one level except for the master bedroom, which is down only 4 stairs. Off the master bedroom is the master bath up two steps. Also, the door out of the master, opens up to a small patio with a table and two chairs making it a nice location of enjoy coffee in the morning or happy hour. There is no grill, but we carry our own so not a factor to us. The neighbor hood is very quiet with only an occasional dog barking that doesn't occur often or last very long (owner warned up about that ahead of time). Traffic noise is not a factor. Parking was in the back but our Sienna van wouldn't fit into the garage due to length. However, it did fit in front of the garage on the pad which kept it clear of the alley. The pad is on an angle which is the only reason for not giving this cottage a 5. If your car is shorter and fits in the garage, better yet. The location is about a 10-15 minute walk to all of downtown Manhattan Beach. Straight out the front or the back to the beach, the walk is probably less than 10 minutes, which made the location very convenient for our needs and activities. We have stayed in Manhattan Beach many times over the past 10 years and this is one of the top 2 houses that we have rented in MB.
