Villa "Turquoise" at Oia Sunset Villas is a boutique villa, elegantly decorated. Villa is located in the north of Santorini Island in the traditional settlement of Oia (Ia) village. It is just 400 m. from the village, but so far enough away from “civilization” to be peaceful and the same time quiet. Ammoudi bay is just in walking distance as well as Katharos beach. From Ammoudi bay you can swim at St.Nicolas Island and rent inflatable boat or arrange a sailing tour, get a trip to Volcano and Thirasia Island or just around Caldera.
This elegant house come highly recommended and features well-appointed accommodation. It is built to a high standards and are traditionally designed, throughout with much attention to detail. The use of traditional stone and some of the best materials have been included throughout the design and have been used in harmony with the environment! The expansive garden of these properties filled with different kind of flowers and bushes have been specially designed to maintain the high standards.
Outside there are a private yard and a balcony, overlooking the Aegean Sea and the most famous sunset, with a dining area for 8 persons, to enjoy alfresco dining. In addition, there are a private outside heated hydro massage spa (for 6 persons) and a common swimming pool, which combined with the perfect sea view, will keep you there the whole day. The luxury combined with the ultimate privacy offers an unforgettable stay and a unique experience.
Inside there are 3 bedrooms (2 double king size bed at lower level, which are decorated with hand paintings from Ancient Thira and 1 king size bed at the upper level loft, which is separate from the others, with its own bath & living room). All bedrooms have wardrobes and air-conditioning. We provide you eco-friendly mattresses & upper bedclothes, as well as feathered pillows. Also, in case that you needed, there are a baby cot and an extra single folding camp bed.
There are two kitchens, full equipped with blender, electric Grill, electric Stove, refrigerator, toaster, filter coffee maker, nespresso coffee maker, boiler, dishes, cooking utensils, pantry items and other modern facilities. Also, there is one extra comfort dining room for 6 persons.
There is a bathroom on each level (total 2 bathrooms) equipped with toilet, shower, bath towels, hypo-allergenic shampoo and shower gel, hair dryer, 220V supply to shaver point and washing machine.

Accessibility:
These villas are accessible by car with private parking area and doesn't require hard walk at steps of Caldera. Therefore, you have to consider the internal stairs, which drive you to the lower floor and the loft bedroom. People with mobility problems will face difficulties. What is more, young children must be supervised at all times.
Coast/Beach/Swimming:
Katharos beach is accessible by walking (10 minutes). The fabulous Ammoudi small harbor with fishing boats, waterfront taverns and restaurant & St.Nicolas Island is accessible by walking (10 minutes) or by car (3 minutes). Ammoudi is one of the most beautiful spots in Santorini. Get off at the foot of red rock for swimming and also to enjoy fresh fish at the taverns and restaurants. The villas have a common swimming pool, where you can swim in front of one of the best views to the Sunset!

Villa "Turquoise" is located 400 m. from Oia village, 30 minute drive from Fira town, 45 minute drive from Santorini airport (17 km) and 40 minute drive from Athinios port (15km). During your stay in Santorini, it is recommended to hire a car for easy access throughout the island.
Travel:
Santorini can be reached by air from Athens with two flights per day or by ferry from Piraeus with frequent departures through the year. During the summer period there are additional flights between Santorini and other islands, and charter flights from abroad. There are also nautical connections between Santorini and many other Cyclades islands, Dodecanese, Crete and Thessaloniki.
Participants arriving by air:
Santorini can be reached from most international airports via Athens. Athens is served by the Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos and from Athens you can fly to Santorini airport (Thira). Nearly all international flights arriving in Greece allow adequate time for making the connecting flight to Santorini, but because local flights have a minimum seating capacity, please book these flights early.

Travel to Santorini by boat from the Port of Piraeus:
For those participants having extra time, there is a regular ferry boat service to Santorini from Piraeus offering a relaxing, pleasant journey. The cost is reasonable and takes an average of eight to nine hours. In addition there is also the solution of the speedy boats, which make this journey in five hours. Advanced reservations are not usually required on the ferry boats. For exact times, call Piraeus port authorities.
Santorini Transportation:
There are 2 ways to move around Santorini, if you do not have a car or a scooter: the public bus and the taxi. There are connections for every village and on summer time there is a bus every 30 minutes, with the last one at midnight. On winter, the bus runs every 1 hour and the last one is around 9 pm. The central us station is in Fira next to the taxi station. Also keep in mind that the public transportation buses are green. Any other color you will see they are tourist buses. You can find the bus timetables at The buses here do not have automatic machines, so you have to have money with you to pay the collector.
The taxis are available on winter, but extremely hard to find on summer therefore we strongly recommend booking your transportation before you arrive. If you want to try your luck you can try book a taxi, if you go to the central square of Fira.

The villas are located in a quiet part of the island but close to everything. A 4 min drive or 12 minute walk will get you right in the mix of Oia. The resort had some very good amenities that we didn’t take full advantage of, but, you could definitely spend one day to simply chill and relax there.The staff was great… smiles, courteous and the rooms were spotless cleaned every day!It was a great place, I’d definitely stay there again!

The property is clean and well taken care of. The villa was nice, but it was not the villa we had specifically rented - we rented Villa Turkoise with 3 king beds and were given Villa Emerald with 2 kings and 2 twins which did not work for our group. It seems a wedding group had rented 3 villas and were given the Turkoise instead of us.
Communication with the owner was good, but we felt like we should have been given the villa we rented. We researched a lot before we decided on this villa as one our friends has specific needs due to her physical handicap.
To be fair, they did try to make it better by brining in a bed and removing the twins. The mattress was very hard and they had to bring in a topper the next day which they did. When the other people checked out of Villa Turkoise, the door was open so we looked inside and confirmed for us that this villa would have much better suited our friend’s needs. I do not appreciate the bait and switch as I had send emails to Marcos confirming that there were 3 king beds in the villa we were renting.
The staff at the villas (Kelly) was very nice and I felt bad that she was put into the middle of this. However, she did what she could to make things better. She also handled setting up a dinner and transportation one night as well as covering the cost of our pizzas until we could hit the ATM.
The pools were very refreshing and clean and the bar/reception area was very comfortable.
The villa had most everything you needed to be comfortable, but be aware that the ladder to the loft is very steep and scary - especially if you need to climb down to use the facilities in the middle of the night. The air conditioner worked great and housekeeping came in every day to replenish towels, clean bathrooms, and whatever else needed attention.
I do recommend a stay at these villas if you are in good shape. There are a lot of steps either up to the loft or down to the main living area. There are not any bedrooms on the main floor. Also the path to Oia is very rocky and not an easy climb even though it is only 400 meters.

The location is great, walking distance from Oia. Just keep in mind is steep walk everywhere. The Villa was very clean and very nice. A few things I would recommend, would be having more variety with the breakfasts even if for an extra charge and more of a variety of drinks on premises. Customer service was great and everyone was very attentive to our needs. I would definitely recommend Sunset Villas.

Staff was outstanding and helpful throughout. They provided a late checkout for us, stored our bags, arranged transport to and from the airport, and restaurant reservations. They offered to arrange rental cars / quads, etc.
Accommodations were nice, and worked well for our family of 6. There are two bedrooms in the daylight basement, and a loft on the “top” (on grade) floor that opens directly to the living room (loft is loud if people are in the living room).
Oia is incredible, and very crowded. Please note that you are a significant distance north of the main path in Oia. It took us roughly 15 minutes each way, and portions of the path are narrow and uneven.
The common area pools were nice and refreshing. There is a pool bar. Food can be brought to you from other restaurants in the area,
