It is always nice to stay in a house that is furnished with a personal touch. We have enjoyed the decorations, paintings on the walls, the big selection of books and the beautiful view. In this very special house one finds a very well equipped kitchen and everything, that you need for your daily life. A small disadvantage was that the house is not very spacious, therefore kids don't have much room to play. Hastings is a nice seaside resort with many attractions and a good atmosphere. There is also a very good restaurant, which is called "The Italian way". It has lovely food and good service.

We loved our stay in Hastings. The house is in a lovely spot overlooking East Hill and we loved sitting out in the garden in the evenings - especially at badger feeding time (a neighbour feeds two wild badgers and it was great to see them up close). It was also nice to sit at the top of the steps in the morning looking across to east hill and listening to the seagulls. We also saw a fox cub in the grassy space next to the house. The house was very comfortable and was well stocked with very interesting books. The kitchen was v well equipped and we were impressed by the chilli choices! It took about 15 mins to walk to the sea by the old town. We enjoyed finding different routes. We liked the little nearby grassy playground and the walk through the woods, but also liked walking in via west hill. Altogether, we had a lovely few days. There is lots to do in Hastings and the surrounds and the house was a good base. Katharina was very friendly, accommodating and generous. Thank you!
