Welcome to Golden West: Located in Spearfish Canyon, Golden West is part of Wickiup Cabins, a 20 cabin village on 5 acres on Spearfish Creek. This is considered a two person cabin and as the name implies sits on the west end of our property. It has a queen bed, bathroom, kitchenette with stove, mini fridge and microwave, gas fireplace for heat, WIFI, all bed linens, towels and basic cookware. Never miss a morning coffee with a coffee pot, coffee and filters supplied in your cabin. Outside sits a picnic table and charcoal grill. Pet Policy: We're happy to welcome dogs at Golden West. Dogs must be leashed anytime they are outside the cabin, and we ask that guests clean up after them and be considerate of nearby guests. If your dog is left alone in the cabin, please kennel them if they may become anxious or could damage anything. If a dog is barking, crying, or disturbing other guests while unattended, we may need to contact you to return to the cabin. Pet fee: $25 per dog, per day, with a two-dog maximum.
Shared Amenities & Property Access: Our cabin sits on a beautiful 5-acre property with Spearfish Creek running through it.
During your stay, you are welcome to enjoy all our shared community spaces, including:
• Creekfront Lounge: Covered outdoor lounge seating right next to Spearfish Creek.
• Fire Places & Pits: A large community wood fire pit, plus multiple gas fireplace gathering areas.
• Kids’ Area: Play area featuring a sandbox.
Parking:
• Cabin Parking: Each cabin has 1–2 designated parking spaces directly nearby.
• Trailers: A dedicated trailer parking area is available on-site.

Our cabin was great. It was very clean and the information card and notes on the walls were very helpful. The bbq every Tuesday during the rally was a special treat. Had tons of fun with all the neighbors. The owners and others helping were so pleasant and took care of every need. It turned a little chilly and extra blankets were handed out although it was nice and warm on the cabin but thank you for all your consideration during our stay.

We enjoyed our visit very much! We had our dogs, so we would have liked a little more room between cabins, but it was adequate. Early in the season, cool and refreshing mornings, beautiful scenery!
