About this house rental
Welcome to our Strawbale Casita. We want to make this experience the best for you so we removed all cleaning fees and chore lists. Just come and enjoy.
My husband and I built this home. It is a 600 square ft casita that is very comfortable and has everything you need. We occasionally provide a blowup Jacuzzi for your pleasure and relaxation (Let us know if you are interested). We are just south of Downtown Phoenix, but walking or biking distance from it. Our home has a very constant temperature due to the fact that the walls are about 20 inches thick. We are about 6-10 blocks from the light rail, sports venues, the convention center, theater, bars, and restaurants. We live in another Strawbale next door and can share info about the area (we are natives) but we will also give you all the privacy you need. We think you will really enjoy this unique experience. Come and see for yourselves. We are building another strawbale home right behind these which is a Hacienda with a courtyard. We are in the construction stage and will be happy to give you a tour. We loved the strawbale house!It was very clean and had everything we needed. It was also very charming with a lot of creative touches. We were there for a show at the Mortgage Center and it was close to the venue. The hosts are lovely people, kind and friendly without being at all intrusive. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

The straw bale casita was amazing.

I was traveling solo so I liked the idea that this casita was right next door to the people who owned it. Unfortunately they were out of town so I was left feeling a little unsure about it all because it's in a bit of a sketchy area. Inside is super cozy and welcoming so once you're in the house everything feels safe. It's well stocked with all the stuff you need. I'd give it 5 stars if I didn't get eaten alive by bugs there. There were a few mosquitos the first night inside. I was born and raised in Michigan so that's not a big deal. I was gone from 8am to 10pm the next day. Within two hours of getting home and eating dinner I had a few more bug bites in a line up my ankle. I hadn't seen more mosquitos at this point so I was concerned. I had another two before I went to bed but when I woke up this morning my legs were covered in bites that are super itchy. My arms and torso have some as well. I'm super uncomfortable and after an itchy flight home I've counted close to 20 total bites. I'm about to go on a spring break trip and my legs are covered in bites. I only stay at rentals that have super good reviews and lots of them. To avoid things like this. This house had amazing reviews. I'm so shocked at what I've experienced. I'm assuming it's bed bugs but I didn't pull the mattress up and look. I'm home and have my luggage outside and am washing everything as I bring it in I've never left a negative review before. But something has to be said.
