About this cottage rental
Feel the serenity and comfort as soon as the door opens to this pristine luxury mountain vacation home. The attention to detail and interior design is absolutely fabulous. As an extra bonus, a complimentary bottle of local wine awaits you on the dining table.
The kitchen is fully equipped, and how! Not only are there the full size stove, oven and refrigerator, but also a microwave, blender, toaster, sandwich grill, crock pot, electric hand mixer, Kitchen Aid mixer, electric can opener, food processor, and cast iron dutch oven. Lest we forget the combination Keurig and drip coffee maker! The cupboards are filled with dinnerware and cookware and the drawers are loaded with utensils and flatware.
The living room features lovely comfortable furniture: a love seat, sofa and chair. The sofa converts into a bed making room for two more guest. The large flat screen television is mounted just above the intricately hand carved wood mantel piece. With the gas fireplace, this is the perfect place to cozy up and enjoy a favorite sport or movie available on YouTube TV. There is free WiFi, too.
Open the French doors and walk out to the back deck surrounded by woods and mountain nature. There is a gas grill, full propane tank included, for those dinners planned on the "barbie". Choose where you want to dine: inside around the dining table or out on the screened porch, furnished with a large table and six chairs.
Turn up the jets and climb into the hot tub for an evening of sweet repose and true relaxation. The home is surrounded by woods and filled with the sound of birds, frogs, crickets and owls! On the cooler nights, guests enjoy the outdoor fire pit landscaped with small river rock and surrounded by Adirondack chairs.
Each bedroom is equipped with it's own private bath. With lots of closet space, it's time to unpack and settle in. There are hairdryers in each bathroom. The master bathroom has two comfortable terry cloth robes for guests to use. Just beyond the master bath is a washer and dryer, ironing board and iron. Remember to bring laundry detergent!

• Parking: Space is available for 3 vehicles.

We were in Helen for a baseball tournament. It was nice having the cabin to get away between games and after the tournament was over.We had a wonderful weekend and would definitely go back again next time we head toward Helen.

The house was nice. The location was quiet and peaceful. It was close to Helen and Cleveland. The outside areas were nice for sitting in the evenings.

The property was not very clean. There were dust bunnies in the closet and there was dirt in the tracks for the windows, and to top it off, there was an envelope for a tip for whoever cleans the property. I found that very ironic, since the property wasn't really clean. Additionally, the outside lights that lite the stairs up to the property were on a motion detector and the lights didn't stay on nearly long enough and the area that the sensor could detect was very limited. My father is on a walker and needs assistance with stairs. My wife had to stand at the top of the steps and wave her arms to turn the light back on so we could see. When we arrived the code that I received didn't work which was a bit of a hassle trying to get in touch with someone. When I was on the phone trying to get assistance with the door code, I keyed the numbers in and the gentlemen told I couldn't possibly have keyed 10 numbers in the time I told him I keyed it.
