About this house rental
Please be advised that the lake is closed for swimming and boating. Check in with the town website to stay up to date on current lake status. There are tons of things to do locally outside: hiking/ winery’s / river tubing/ golfing / biking.
This lovely quaint little cottage is the perfect escape for everything you would need to enjoy the beautiful area of Lake Lure! Upon entry no need to worry about stairs, the cottage is roadside with parking adjacent to the house. This cottage was fully remodeled to provide all the necessities within a small package. There are two queen size built in bunk beds to accommodate four people, each with their own outlets and fans, this lets you feel like summer camp but more luxurious. There is also a pull out couch in the living room for a extra guest or two. The bathroom has a oversized subway tile shower as well as beautiful tiled floor. In the living room you will have the log cabin feel with all the wooded ceiling as well as throughout the sleeping areas as well. There is a large granite top island to prepare your dishes and also to have game nights and rewind from the day. This place is great inside but what really draws the attention is the outdoor areas. Outside the cottage there is a large seating area for grilling and relaxing. On the way down the stairs to the lake halfway down you will arrive at "The Ski Bar" a eclectic decorated bar of antiques, old ski gear, and all kinds of entertainment! The ski bar has a large wood slab bar along with neon lights! This bar will not disappoint with the views either! It has great lake views as well as a beautiful view of pilot mountain. From the bar down you will find another great area to either eat or lounge about from the day listening to the boats pass by or mother nature at its finest. From the deck you will be at Lake Lures water edge. The boathouse is situated back in a peaceful cove where swimming is one of the very best past times. Also, we do provide a canoe and paddle boat for those who would like to see more of the waterside of Lake Lure.
The house does have high speed internet. Please also be advised the house does not sit directly on the water and like most mountain lake homes has steps to get to the water and boathouse. If you have issues going up and down stairs this house is not suitable for you to access the water.
Important update. Post Helene the lake is in a rebuild state so the water level is currently down while they dredge the silt from beneath the water. The lake is currently closed for boating/ swimming until further notice. We are closing off the boat house area for safety but guests can still use the tiki bar and other outdoor areas. Please reach out with any questions. We will be happy to answer and assist

Very clean and cute. The bar was a really fun place to hang. Barbara and sky were very friendly. Had everything we needed. Would come back and stay again.

We loved the place. Perfect for my family, husband, dog and myself. The house and location is lovely. Can’t wait to go back when the lake is completely restored.

My husband and I were looking for a dog friendly place to stay close to Lake Lure so we could explore the area a little more. This place was perfect. It had everything we needed. We look forward to coming back when it warms up a little more.
