Villa Marie is a beautiful villa nestled in the hills above Maleme. It is in a quiet and secluded area which was great for us as we were attending a family wedding. Twelve of us stayed for two weeks and the different shared spaces in and around the villa allowed for smaller groups to meet or quiet time. The pool and BBQ area were fantastic for socialising both day and night and we made the most of it with family gatherings before and after the wedding. There was plenty of space for visitors to join us.With the secluded area of its location we didn’t have to worry too much about the noise we made.
The bedrooms were well proportioned and beds very comfortable. The bedrooms were well located and each of the three bathrooms were conveniently located between two bedrooms, so sharing one bathroom between two bedrooms worked well.
The kitchen was well equipped as was the BBQ.
We used the pool lots. The views are stunning and we never tired of gazing out across the hills.
The owner, Marie, was very helpful and friendly and responded quickly to emails.
The villa was immaculately clean and tidy and the grounds well maintained.
We would definitely stay again and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends and family. In fact, some friends are looking to book it already for next year as they have a wedding to attend also.
Thank you for making our stay so memorable. We all have much cherished memories of our extended family holiday and wedding.

This was our 3rd time in Villa Marie and it was just as good as we've remembered it. We love it there and it is our favourite place to stay in Crete. The villa is very luxurious and equipped with everything you need. It has nice swimming pool and beautiful sea view , bbq area and a large outdoor dining table! Especially early in the morning and with sundown the panorama is breathtaking ! We will definitely stay again next year.

We have passed lovely days, even though most of the day we have visited the spectacular beaches and countryside of Crete, we have done comfortable breakfasts in the full furnished kitchen and when we returned home we have been delighted by powerful and colurful sunsets and by the astonishing view from the pool, and often we have had our dinners in the huge (we were 12 people) table on the pool level. The villa is also very elegant and tasteful furnished.
But what we've appreciated most it has been the absolute silence and quiet!

We spent a week at the wonderfull Villa Marie enjoyed the luxury/exclusive enviroment, the infinity private pool and the location which is in the middle of the tipical nature of Crete. The villa has 6 good sized bedrooms, a family room & large open plan lounge dining area. Although there was only 6 of us which made it more expensive it could easily accomodate an extended family of 12 people. The owner is very nice and welocom us in the best way!. He was readily available and was very helpful with comprehensive information on Crete. This is really an unmissable villa if you go to Chania area and also it is in a strategic location to reach the best beaches of the area like Balos,Elafonissi ,etc. We will be back !
