About this house rental
“Spindrift,” a truly immaculate oceanfront home, boasts a total of five bedrooms, three bathrooms and sleeps up to 16 people in amazing comfort. While staying at “Spindrift,” it is very hard to avoid looking at the ocean. Whether you are seated in the dining room, relaxing in the living room, or preparing dinner in the kitchen, the open floor plan allows for dramatic ocean views through the numerous windows.
Two of the five bedrooms are oceanfront with seamless deck access. During the day, guests enjoy spending time on the huge decks and taking full advantage of the private beach access. Fortunately, “Spindrift” is located on one of the quietest stretches of beach on Topsail Island. The master bedroom has a king bed with a private bathroom and direct deck access. Bedroom two provides a queen bed with a twin bunk bed and also direct deck access. Bedroom three has a queen bed, bedroom four has two sets of twin bunk beds and bedroom five has an additional queen bed.
The home also provides extra sleeping accommodations via a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the family room. Serene beaches with drifting sands as far as the eye can see only add to the beauty of the memory making stunner that is "Spindrift."

CANCELLATIONS -
Any cancellation of a confirmed reservation must be made in writing by Guest. Reservation payments are not reimbursable unless the property can be re-rented for the same rate and time period less non refundable reservation fee, cancellation fee, and third-party fees. CHECK IN DAY DETAILS -
Your rental home allows you to check-in directly at the property. Check-in typically becomes available BETWEEN 4:00 - 6:00 PM on the day of your scheduled arrival. As soon as your rental is ready for check in, we will send you a text message with all of your check-in instructions. Please understand that all homes must be cleaned and inspected before we are allowed to issue access details and you are not allowed to be at the property until you have received that text message.
PREPARING FOR YOUR VACATION -
All our vacation rentals include fully equipped kitchens, basic small appliances (microwaves, coffee makers, toasters), pillows, comforters/bedspreads, television(s) and more! Our vacation homes do not supply consumable items for guest use (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, soap, spices, cleaning products, etc.). Please plan accordingly for any items you may need during your stay.
You are welcome to bring your own linens, or we provide a linens rental service for your convenience. Some homes provide complimentary linens for select dates and this detailed information can be found in the description. Linen package options include BRONZE (bed sheets only per bed listed), SILVER (bed sheets per bed listed, a bath towel set per occupancy, dish towel, and a bath mat per shower/tub), and GOLD (all items from the SILVER package plus one extra bath towel per occupancy).
TOPSAIL ISLAND GENERAL INFO-
WiFi: WiFi signal strength is NOT guaranteed at your rental for remote work or remote learning. We are located on a barrier island and do not have cellular towers on the island. This, coupled with the increase of guests in our area, creates an inconsistent cellular signal that is outside of our control and therefore, compensation is NOT given.
Beach Nourishment: Beach nourishment projects help preserve and protect Topsail Island's shoreline. Most projects are scheduled annually between November and April and may involve large pipes on the beach, trucks moving sand, and other equipment to rebuild and maintain our dunes. Timelines and locations can shift without notice, and we are not always informed in advance. While we understand this may impact your beach experience, refunds or compensation will not be provided for disruptions related to beach nourishment. For the latest updates, we recommend checking the town websites for Topsail Beach, Surf City, or North Topsail Beach. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about potential beach impacts during your stay.
Water Pressure Notice: Please be aware that during popular rental dates, especially in the mornings and evenings, there may be temporary reductions in water pressure. This is a common occurrence across the island as many visitors are getting ready for the day or returning from the beach. We recommend planning showers and other water-related activities accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
Public Parking: The Town of Surf City enforces “Pay to Park” from March 1-Oct 31 from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm in the Surf City Public Beach Access Parking Lots and other marked Public Parking Lots. The Town of North Topsail Beach will enforce “Pay to Park” from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM year-round. Onslow County operates three public parking areas/beach accesses within the Town of North Topsail Beach. To the best of our knowledge the county intends to continue operating these lots free of charge.
Leave No Trace: Topsail Island enforces a "Leave No Trace" policy in order to protect our shoreline, meaning you must remove all items, including tents and chairs, from the beach each day. Any items left behind are subject to theft, removal by the town, or possibility of being washed away by the ocean.
Turtle Nesting Season: From May to October, Topsail Island is a nesting ground for sea turtles. Be mindful of marked nests, limit oceanside deck lights, and follow local guidelines to protect them.

We stayed for a week in mid-May and it was a lovely time of year to go - still warm enough to enjoy a few good beach days without the crowds. The house is so conveniently located just a few minutes off the Surf City bridge, and therefore is really close to larger grocery stores which was awesome. In the past we’ve stayed much farther south and it’s kind of a hassle to go to the store. The ocean being steps away is a game changer, and the area is beautiful. As suggested, make sure there isn’t a renourishment project happening during your stay or you could be looking out at a bunch of huge trucks. Keyless entry to the home is nice. The first thing we noticed when we opened the door to the house is that it had a strong dog pee smell. I get it - it’s a pet friendly rental. But the bedrooms having carpet certainly doesn’t help if you’re going to allow pets. Needless to say, our dog spent the first 15 minutes of our visit smelling every square inch of carpet in the place. We got some candles and tried to air the place out and it seemed to help some. The screen door from the primary bedroom onto the deck had a little learning curve. It wasn’t super easy to open, probably a relatively quick fix though. All that said, the house was well suited for our group and we really enjoyed our stay! I would book again if the carpet was replaced! 🙈

The house was very nice and accommodated my family perfectly. We had a couple minor issues that were fixed pretty quickly; greatly appreciated! The house was very clean when we checked in, beds/furniture were comfortable, loved the high deck chairs and the A/C worked great. Definitely looking forward to staying there again in the future! Thank you!

I rented this house for a late winter girls weekend with friends. We selected it because of the fireplace. Needless to say we were very disappointed to find the fireplace is nonfunctional. (This fact is not mentioned in the description of the property.) Also non-functioning was the wireless access! Needless to say - we were underwhelmed. The house looks lovely - it just doesn't work very well!
