About this house rental
Great location on corner lot with lots of privacy, this 3 bed 3 bath home has just been extensively remodeled. The kitchen, eating areas are 16x24ft. built in stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops, reverse osmosis water and ice at the sink and frig . Two, double french doors with built in mini blinds between the glass over looking the pool and patio. From kitchen. the new added on family room is 12x18 with triple windows looking out to the pool. Crown moulding and chair rail in both areas. Living room is approx 13x15. Laundry Rm Lg W/D Pantry Master bedroom addition of master bath, walk in Shower an closet, Work area cabinets and drawers. easy wheelchair access to shower, same floor height, no door or curtain. Master bedroom is now a suite With outside door to pool and patio.

The house cleaner was just leaving when we arrived. The owner was there to greet us and go over everything. I totally agree with the past reviews of replacing the mattresses (the owner pointed out that he had put foam on top) and the plumbing fixtures. The coffee pot still had coffee and coffee grounds in it. There was debris along the bottom on the cabinets that we had to sweep up. The microwave had dried food in it. The glass kitchen table was dirty and greasy. We found a bowl in the cabinet that had spoiled milk in it. The grill was unusable. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. We called the owner and the cleaning lady spent two hours trying to clean it. The owner had to replace some parts because they weren't usable. While the owner was there we asked him to check the ph in the pool. He gave us attitude and said "oh, I see how this is gonna be". The pool ladder has a broken rail at the top of the slide. Unsafe to have someone up there. There is also no handrail to get out of the pool. There were also broken tiles in the pool which the owner had to try and get out. There was one leaning up against the house, but no way to set it up by the pool correctly. Our 85 year old friend slipped on the steps and cut open his knee. The was an open bucket of paint in the backyard and other garbage on the side of the house. After initially reading the reviews, I saw where the owner stated that the previous renters didn't tell him about any problems. So when I called him that first day about our concerns, he just told me that the house was cleaned before we got there and that he checked everything. I've stayed at other Vrbo houses in the past. This was the worst. I am expecting the owner to come back at me for writing a true review.
