About this villa rental
Surrounded by sweet olive groves and set in a splendid hillside position, Corte della Luna dominates with its particular profile the wide Valdichiana and offers a unique glimpse of the Etruscan town of Cortona. The beautiful swimming pool located just below and the large terrace furnished with care, offer intimate relaxing corners for guests who can then gather together both outside under the large gazebo, both in the large internal hall to share pleasant moments of conviviality even in the cool autumn and winter evenings. In fact, this corner of Tuscany is splendid in every season. The villa consists of two wings connected by a bright central living room. On the ground floor the living area, which offers multiple accesses to the terrace and the delightful courtyard, consists of a large kitchen, a bathroom and a large living room. An elegant staircase leads to the sleeping area consisting of three double bedrooms with en suite bathroom with shower and a bedroom with two single beds adjacent to the bathroom with Jacuzzi. Refined colors and pieces of furniture chosen with love by the owners make each room original, warm and welcoming. The beautiful property, not far from the town, is ideal for a holiday of beauty and relaxation. With short trips by car you can reach important centers of historical, artistic, landscape and food and wine of Tuscany and Umbria, but also the well-equipped beaches of Lake Trasimeno with the possibility of excursions to its islands and fishing experiences.

We had the luck to spend two weeks in this unique house, the first days of which were with the special Straberry Moon lighting up the Chiannina Valley and Cortona. Truly magical. The terrace and its trees and vistas is the highlight of the property and served us all day long with pleasure. The pool offered a relaxing place in mornings and late afternoons and was thoroughly enjoyed. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and was a joy to cook lazy dinners of course eaten on the terrace. The master bedroom with views of Cortona, the Chiannina Valley and the hills with olive trees was delightful. The three other bed rooms were well appointed as were the living, dining and game room. We could feel the loving touch of the owners. The owners and their representative where kind and responsive. Shopping is close by in Camucia, Conad is highly recommend. La Trufa in Ossaia had the best Pici Al Algione, Il Buon Gustaio in Castiglon Fiorentino is also highly recommended for its Pici Calcio e Pepe and its Tartare. Ideally located for day trips to Tuscan highlights like Siena and Arezzo it also was very close to the Lago di Trasimeno in Umbria. Passignano sul Trasimeno and its promenade along the lake is beautiful. Try Osteria Cuore di Mamma and especially Pici Alla Norcina. As you can see Corte de la Luna serves all purposes: a relaxing stay in itself, base for trips, dining close by and best of all a tranquility. Highly recommend. We will be back.

We stayed at this villa with 2 other couples and it was just amazing. The villa is gorgeous, the view of the countryside from the beautiful patio was awe inspiring. The owners were just lovely, very responsive and Francesca the property manager was so easy to communicate with. She arranged a chef for 2 dinners and made restaurant resrrvations. The villa is so close to Coryona and a grocery store is bery close for provisions. We highly recommend and are dreaming about when we can go back!

Beyond everything you see in the pictures. Highlight of the trip was waking up each morning and returning each afternoon. The layout is perfect for everyone to have their own space and have beautiful indoor and outdoor space to enjoy together. Owners were great and take great pride as they work very hard to keep it beautiful. Pool was also great and the Villa had the best view of all of Tuscany.

It was a true pleasure and privilege to stay in Corte della Luna for the first half of our family's trip to Italy. The views from this villa of the Tuscan countryside are incomparable, and it was a relaxing and well-located home base for day trips to Cinque Terre, Venice, and Florence, as well as nearby Cortona. Two family members will remember this villa especially fondly as they got engaged here on one of our final mornings.
The owners graciously gave us a property tour at the beginning of our stay and explained the various things we would need to know, from the pool lights to the washing machine. We appreciated and enjoyed the recommendations, from restaurants in Cortona to a local vineyard and olive oil press. The entire villa is well-decorated and was an immersive way to stay in Tuscany versus a traditional hotel. We had a party of six, four of which were couples, and each couple and individual got their own bedroom and bathroom, which was appreciated. Although the use of air conditioning came as an additional cost, it was appreciated when it was needed. Every member of our party really enjoyed the pool and terrace areas, which were perfect places to relax early in the morning or late at night.
We loved our time in this villa and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tuscany!
