About this villa rental
Our villa is situated about 250 yards from beautiful Bottom Bay Beach, which is one of the most photographed beaches in the world. Enjoy the cooling, Atlantic breezes as you stroll along the secluded beaches which you will have to yourself most of the time. Then return to the villa where you can enjoy a swim in the pool and a cocktail or glass of wine on the deck, check your social media with free Wi-Fi and watch the sunset over the ocean while listening to the sounds of crickets and whistling frogs. Villa has a large patio with BBQ, four garden chairs and three loungers.
Shopping and Services: Emerald City Shopping Centre is 10 minutes drive away and includes a well-stocked supermarket, a bank, an automated teller machine, a pharmacy, an internet cafe, video rental, a post office, a gas station and Chefette with children's play area.
Other Attractions: Our villa is situated about 25 minutes drive to Bridgetown. It is about 20 minutes from St. Lawrence Gap which has a wide selection of restaurants and nightlife. Among the interesting activities are, a visit to one of the oldest plantation houses, Sunbury Plantation, a tour of artifacts at the Barbados Museum and the recently renovated Harrison Caves. The scenic East Coast is just a short drive up the coast to Bathsheba and the well-appointed Andromeda Gardens.

We had a wonderful stay at Wendy’s VRBO. This home had all of the necessary amenities, with comfort and charm. Having our own pool was incredible with an ocean view and steps away from a quiet little beach. Thank you Wendy for a wonderful stay. We hope to come back soon!

We liked the property. The photos are dated though. There is no line of site to the ocean as depicted in the photos of the property. Pool photos are of a time long gone. A garage structure has been built behind the pool blocking any view of the ocean. You can see it however, just not as well as you might expect from the advertisement of the property. During our stay there were minor issues that can certainly be addressed easily. The oven didn’t work and the pool lights for night swimming failed after the second day. It gets pretty warm in the afternoon into the evening so you may want to open doors but just be prepared for flying insects and crawling ones too. We’re city slickers really, so we not that accustomed to centipedes and winged cockroaches!!! But they exist on the island so just be forewarned. We only had one centipede visit the dining room and the we had the outside lights on but inside lights off, so the three flying critters stayed out. I would certainly stay at the property again because it is a nice area away from the high traffic and noise of the city side. The locals residents call it “the country” and I can see why but it’s not isolated and remote like a US country home. It’s country/suburbs. The rock cliffs and ocean view behind the development is awesome! Sadly, like many other islands of late, seaweed has washed ashore on the east side of the island. That’s where the property sits south/east a bit. If you’re a real beach lover like we are, you’ll adjust!

The property was as advertised and our stay was very enjoyable. The area was very quiet but not really close to anything so you will need a car. With all rentals it is not perfect but for us it was just fine, outdoor area could be furnished better as it is the area you will spend most of your time in. kelly

The view from the patio was outstanding. However the furnishings were dated and overall the house could do with a bit of an upgrade.
