About this cabin rental
Relax, unwind and refresh with fantastic views of the mountains from each of the three levels in this cabin. Sit by the fireplace and read your favorite novel, use the WiFi to surf the internet, or curl up on the sofa to watch a movie. You are on vacation! Just a short hike up the mountain road offers magnificent breathtaking vistas. Then, watch the day come to a close with a beautiful sunset from the large deck or the hot tub.
A Glimpse of Heaven has a gas grill for those dinners you have been planning. All you need to bring with you is food and beverage. This cabin includes a fully-equipped kitchen, cookware, utensils, dinnerware and flatware. Yes, there is a coffee maker, too! There is an outdoor firepit, just don't forget the firewood. There is also an 8 foot slate top pool table and a large flat screen plasma TV in the game room.
Alpine Helen, in all her Bavarian charm, is only 4 miles up the road. Just as close are numerous hiking trails, Unicoi State Park and Anna Ruby Falls. We promise you won't run out of things to do and see while staying with Georgia Mountain Rentals.
Floor Plan: Upstairs = Master king bedroom and a queen bedroom with a shared full bath. Each bedroom has sliding glass doors to the upper deck. Main Floor = Living room, kitchen, half bath and covered porch. Bottom Floor = Game room, and full bath, lower deck with hot tub.
• Minimum Age Requirement: A Glimpse of Heaven is a Luxury Property and is available to families or to guests 25 years and older.
• Parking: Space is available for 2 vehicles.
• Access: Guests will receive a gate code for the community. The road is dirt and gravel to the steep paved driveway.
• Pets: A Glimpse of Heaven is Not pet-friendly. No pets allowed.
• Location: 5 miles from downtown Helen.

Our stay was nice. It was perfect for our anniversary trip. It was less than a 15 minute drive to Helen. We enjoyed the hot tub and playing pool. We would definitely stay here again if it was just me and my spouse. It was our first time visiting the area so next time we'd like to bring our kids and dog and would need to find a place that's pet friendly and sleeps at least 6 people.

We overall had a positive experience. Very accommodating. My only issue, and it was a big one, was that I did not receive the code to the gate when promised. I could not get a hold of anyone and was on the phone with VRBO customer service for an hour and a half trying to resolve it. I finally was able to get into the property. I emailed and called, and never received an answer to my question about the gate code.

This was a decent cabin with two comfortable beds on the 3rd floor, but none on either of the two lower floors. There is NO Laundry in the cabin, which was not apparent when I booked but is listed as ‘laundromat nearby’. I missed that. The access road was very badly rutted and needs to be maintained. I would not pick this cabin again, for a serious amount of money, without the washer and dryer.
