I didn’t sleep well at all due to the noise at night

It was close to the airport & the gentleman who booked my taxi was lovely.

There were people entering the hotel at all hours. It was quite noisy.

Nice room, balcony.

The staff was quite impolite and unhelpful. They didn't speak English at all - despite in the advertising they say, you can communicate in English with them. There was supposed to be free parking lot for hotel guests, but when I asked about parking, the staff was surprised and we had to find parking on our own.

A find &treat!

Outside of center where normal people live, who go about their day to day business. Italian lifestyle pure. Part of town with many former palazzo estates along the shore. Must be historically significantly. Not the posh part of town but also not the run down part of town where we felt unsafe. Many small family run stores along the Main Street but hotel is situated OFF Main Street and it was quiet during the night. Close to a train station from where it took 8 min to reach Piazza Principe train station. Owner is a really exceptional person.

Demand in Genova is often high. This was the last room I could find at short notice. The room rate was mind boggling but such is the law of demand and supply. Spotlessly clean. Note that you need to arrive before 9pm.

Good

Free coffee was great, the man at reception was extremely kind and helpful. The building and hallways aren't the most attractive but the room was very clean and really big. Stayed here with friends during a bike trip so it was perfect for the price and purpose. We were all very happy with our stay.

The area isn't the greatest, if you are staying at the airport i can see this being fine for a layover sleep. There is a bus stop across the street to take you into town as well as a grocery store and convenience store just downstairs. The bathroom in our room was kind of 'open' concept so very intimate when you shower/use the toilet giving you no privacy, it was all glass paneling. There are also shared bathrooms in the hallway if this bothers you.

It was so bad that made us laugh. The lift, oh my God 13th century. The toilet was mad as part of the room and the flush was making sound. So funny and terrible at the same time.

Not for all

For the first time in my life I checked in and checked out after one hour. We felt unease and just left. The booking was not refundable so we didn’t even try to ask our money back. The host said that he was sorry.

The hotel is situated above a busy/traffic area and windows aren’t double glazed so the noise was constant. We found the room to be quite cold and bed covers were very thin. The room was advertised having a private bathroom. The bathroom is indeed there, however it has no ceiling so it is directly communicating with the room itself.

Disappointing

The room was bright with a little balcony, very pleasant. Also the are is great for free parking and you can reach the city center in about 20 minutes with the bus.

We booked a room just a few hours before arrival. When we got at the hotel there were no reception and noone to open us the door. Plus the phone of the owner doesn't receive calls from foreign numbers so we couldn't get in touch. A lady finaly got us in and then the owner came to show us the facilities. Our room was nice but the shared bathroom was full of water and the hotel is very noisy. People in the room next door had showers and put music in the middle of the night and we could hear everything. Disappointing for 50€ per night.

Located in a dormitory area where the fruits and vegetables are rather cheap. The room is clean, and the bed is comfortable.

The internet connection was very poor in the room in the room. Even for sending a message via facebook we had to get out of the room.
