This was a great staying for a couple of nights. The home is clean and there was plenty of parking even with the snow. Marc was helpful and responsive every step of the process.

I made a post about a prior visit that wasn’t so great. This time I have to say Marc did a great job!! All my concerns were addressed. He has always been kind, helpful and accommodating.

Nothing!! Everything was good.

This accommodation is a basement apartment from a house it seems like. Completely renovated, completely functional, very clean. The owner is taking good care of the space. The area is quiet, very residential. So it's a comfortable place to stay in.

Ability to get downtown in NYC: Keeping in mind that the train station (Long Island Railroad - Rosedale) is 30 mins walking distance from the accommodation. Otherwise, it's easy to use ride share services to get there. Temperature: The dial to regulate the heater for the unit is located in the unit above, on the main floor. The host was responsive when I reached out to request them to lower the temp when it was too hot. Luggage security: A simple door and lock is what separates the unit above, on the main floor, and the apartment basement. It can't be opened from the side of the accommodation, but it seems that it can be opened from the side of the main floor. I'm not implying that my belongings were not safe, but having noticed that, I preferred to keep my valuables locked in my luggage. Noise levels: As this accommodation seem to be an apartment located in the basement of a house, the noise levels were just disappointing. I'm not sure if the owner/host of this accommodation lives upstairs on the main floor, but you can hear everything that's happening there clearly, just as you would when in a basement of a house. I understand that the family above have to keep living. However, when someone is present in the rented accommodation, they should be mindful and conscious of the level of noise they are making and at what time. While I was there, 11pm seems to be the time when they clear up dinner or get ready for bed. Chatter, walking around, baby running around can still be heard clearly at that time. I had ear plugs with me so I was able to manage. If I didn't have them with me, I would have had to go buy some for the next night. If I had been there to work, it would have been distracting.
