Apartment Tara is a modern, comfortable and fully furnished apartment set on a hill above the beautiful old town.

The apartment is perfect for groups of up to 6 people looking for self-catering accommodation in Dubrovnik. Our peaceful hillside setting means Apartment Tara enjoys a tranquil environment and superb views on the Adriatic Sea.
Apartment Tara has three double bedrooms, the master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with shower. The main bathroom offers a massage tub with shower. The spacious and bright living room boasts great sea views and is equipped with a flat screen cable TV. The kitchen is fully equipped. Our balcony makes the perfect place for a relaxing drink under the shade of the awning. The garden is equipped with an outdoor jacuzzi hot tub and loungers, offering even more relaxation and enjoyment.
Facilities at Apartment Tara include air conditioning with units in the main living area and all 3 bedrooms , refrigerator, cook top, oven, dishwasher and kettle as well as coffee maker, toaster, microwave and washing machine.
Wireless internet and cable TV are an added bonus.

This place is all about that view—absolutely stunning, especially from the hot tub after a day in the Adriatic. Super well-equipped, cool A/C, and everything worked perfectly. Yes, there are a lot of steps… but if stairs scare you, maybe Dubrovnik isn’t your soulmate. For the rest of us? Totally worth the climb.

Excellent location for exploring Dubrovnik. There is a 250 step walkway down to Old Town which speeds by on your way down but can be a beast on the way up - not a place for someone with poor conditioning or balance, but we loved the walk! The balcony is wonderful after a day exploring. Ivana was a very helpful hostess including guiding us on transportation from the airport and restaurants.

Best place ever! Ivana was the best property manager and helped with everything I needed even if it probably wasn’t listed in her job title. The place was clean, cute, exactly as it appears in the photos and the location could not have been better. Traveling with children I appreciated the neighborhood as it was quiet at night but you could still get to places within a 10 minute walk. I would highly recommend!

This place was the perfect space for our family of 5. The view from the balcony is spectacular, the home is immaculate, and the furnishings are high quality. Ivana was extremely responsive and professional. Fantastic location and a great way to build those quads walking up all the stairs!

The apartment has the most amazing views of the Old City. To get those views you have to be up the hill of course and there are a lot of steps - certainly gets your heart rate up!! It was clean and spacious and my granddaughter loved the hot tub. The check in with Ivana was lovely as it was so personal and she gave us lots of info about the area and restaurants. Highly recommend so long as you're fit and able

We loved our stay at Apartment Tara. Our host Ivana was amazing. Met us at the apartment and gave us many suggestions for a nice trip. Great restaurants. We were two couples and had everything we needed. Bonus having a hot tub(with a view) to soak after long days of sightseeing. It doesn’t get better having a cup of coffee, or glass of wine on the patio overlooking Dubrovnik! Keep in mind there are steps to climb. It’s worth it! Thank you Ivana!!

Ivana organised transport from the airport and met us at the apartment.she also was there to assist us when we left and at the end of the phone for advice. The apartment was modern spotlessly clean and very well appointed with stunning views of the old city. To explore the old city and surrounding areas there are many many steps and this might be difficult for some people and we were aware from previous reviews that there were steps to the apartment but we thought it was worth it for the views. Ivana had recommendations for restaurants which were excellent but there are many eateries in the city walls that are all of a good standard. Check out Lokrum island by ferry, cable car and the restaurant at the top and do the city walls walk. Dubrovnik is not a stag or hen weekend destination and is quiet in comparison with other European cities and we felt safe at all times and found the local people extremely friendly - we were a group of (older) women but there was a mix of ages and Dubrovnik seems to attract visitors from around the world. We had a wonderful time

Pictures are spot on! Apartment is perfect. Yes, there are a lot of stairs, but that’s Dubrovnik! The space was exceedingly comfortable. Ivana was great to work with - she provided many recommendations and also set up an early transfer to the airport for us. We spent a lot of time finding great views in Dubrovnik, from Panorama, the wall, from the water….but the best view is from the deck/patio at this apartment. 5 stars all the way!!!

The property was exactly as listed and the view was even more spectacular than the pictures. Perfect proximity for exploring Old Town. Lots of steps so not for the elderly. Our property manager was incredibly responsive, helped arrange transfers and always answered any questions we had within minutes. Highly recommend this property for your stay in Dubrovnik.

We had the pleasure of staying at Ivana's property. The home was beautiful. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. It was extremely hot during our stay and coming back to the air conditioning was a live savor. Ivana was extremely responsive and accommodating. She organized a private transfer for us from Dubrovnik to split and the driver even took us to and from our excursion that we had booked for the morning of checkout. The hot water in the showers didn't last for all 6 of us, but we didn't mind since it was so hot outside that a cool shower was refreshing. We also appreciated having 3 sets of keys so that each couple in a room could have their own set. Do keep in mind when booking that it is a lot of stairs to carry your luggage and that may not be ideal for some travelers. However, the property is so worth it. We wished we stayed another night. I highly recommend Ivana's beautiful property.

This apartment was a perfect size for our family of 6 adults. The bedrooms are neatly and comfortably furnished, with plenty of towels. Ivana is a gracious hostess, even taking time to review a city map noting beaches, shops, restaurants and points of interest. The balcony views cannot be beat, which the website photo captures. Our family highly recommends a stay here and Ivana as host.

This little gem was a great find tucked in the hills just outside the Old Town walls. Ivana, our host, was punctual, extremely responsive to questions/requests, very nice and gave us so many great recommendations throughout the entire process from booking to when we arrived in Dubrovnik. The views from here were incredible. We were very happy with our stay! We had 6 adult females stay here for 2 nights and 2 of the bedrooms were a bit tight for 2 adults + luggage so depending on your party size, this can be a great option. Also to note: Dubrovnik has LOTS of stairs and to get to/from you have to carry your luggage up and down so pack lightly and pack luggage you can carry! Ivana also arranged transport to/from Split for us via private car and our driver was just the best as well! He took us to Ston where we ate fresh oysters straight from the Bay. 5 star service + accommodations from our group!

Had the absolute pleasure in staying in this wonderful apartment with the most outstanding view with my family of 5 grown ups for 5 days at the end of May. We was met at the apartment by Ivana who was so friendly and welcoming and explained all the practical things we needed to know plus then offered us useful information & recommendations for the surrounding area. Everything you need for a self catering holiday is provided at the apartment. The hot tub is another gem as once again you get to admire the outstanding view from your own little private area at the side of the apartment. The apartment was immaculately clean & tastefully decorated with basic provisions provided to get you started including a welcoming bottle of wine and water … another thoughtful gesture. You are positioned in a prime location for exploring the beautiful Old Town with all its amenities. A small supermarket is a 10 min walk away and the cable car experience and a bakery for freshly baked pastries are 5 mins away. I can not recommend this apartment enough and would definitely stay here again without a doubt should we return to Dubrovnik in the future. 5 Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ holiday experience

First and foremost, the VIEW! You will not find better. Period. The view puts this accommodation at the very top of the list. This modern, immaculate, thoughtfully appointed apartment has everything you need. Safe and secure, cozy and warm, with comfortable beds; the apartment lacks nothing. We cooked in several times, did laundry, and took full advantage of the balcony's views. Yes, there are stairs. There are stairs everywhere in Dubrovnik. It will help justify the trips to the bakery, trust me! Ivana was extraordinarily helpful arranging taxis for airport pickup and then drop off at the bus station. Her recommendations are spot on with excellent communications. You needn't look any further. This is THE place to stay in Dubrovnik.

This was a wonderful place to stay when seeing Dubrovnik, highly recommended. The view out the windows is pretty much exactly what all the artists in Dubrovnik paint as the iconic image. There really are a fair number of steps up and down -- inevitable given that old town is much lower than the surrounding hills, but something for older visitors to keep in mind.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Dubrovnik, and we were thrilled with this apartment that was just a short walk from the old town. Ivana was delightful to work with - fast to respond to any questions and helpful with restaurant recommendations. The views from the apartment's balcony are unmatched - looking down on the beautiful walled city, the marina, and nearby islands. Hot tub and outdoor lounge spaces were perfect for enjoying drinks and kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with the essentials. Be prepared to walk up/down a lot of stairs - but the views make it worth the workout!

I Usually don’t give a long detailed review however this place deserves one. The place was perfect at the best view of the city in my opinion great spa all the amenities you can think of everything pretty much brand new The owners and driver were awesome I cant say enough about them They always responded to her calls or questions or need of help and assistance within minutes they always were on time I got us to our locations on time so there’s parts of the city we couldn’t even imagine they literally know everybody literally no everybody in the town and surrounding areas took us to private oyster places and restaurants and we had the time of our life We thank them!

Location, location, location! Ivana, was a great host. Her communication with us prior and during our stay was excellent. Accommodation was as pictured. The view from within the accommodation and on the patio is second to none. We spent all our time when not sleeping on the patio. The hot tub and lounging chairs on the lower level was a nice bonus. The kitchen was adequately equipped. All beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean and very functional. Many people have spoken about the steps, so I will not repeat. The steps are unavoidable if you want to stay in this fabulous location or anywhere around this area. This accommodation would be the first place I would look at if I was to return.

What a view!! We spent 8 nights enjoying this beautiful property and the spectacular view! There was plenty of room for our group of 4. The patio with awning was a great spot to enjoy a coffee, glass of wine or sit and read a book As others have mentioned, there are 112 steps to get up to the apartment, so that could be challenging for some. Not sure it ever got easier, but the view was well worth the steps. The property is within a 10 minute walk to the old town where there are many restaurants and shops. There are also markets and a bakery on the street at the bottom of the steps and a beach is within a 5 minute walk. The owner was available and very responsive to any question we had. She came over quickly when we couldn’t figure out how to work the TV. She also gave us a map of the area and circled restaurant suggestions , the markets and bakery. Prior to our trip, we worked with the owner to set up transportation to and from the airport as well as a driver and guide to Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Zoran was a great driver and guide. He provided history of the countries and suggested places to eat and traditional dishes to try. He definitely added to our experience of each of these countries. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful view with us! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in your lovely apartment.

My family of 6 (5 adults and a 14 year old) stayed here for a week in August. Transfers to and from the local airport were perfect and arranged by Ivana and the driver was her partner, Zoran who also does local tours. On arrival we were dropped off on the road above and collected from the road below so we did not have to carry the cases up the steps. Ivana met us and explained all about the apartment workings and highlighted on the local map the points of interest, trips and recommended restaurants as well as the nearest supermarkets. The apartment was exactly as advertised and was very well decorated and furnished. Fortunately the cleaners had just finished when we arrived an hour before check-in which enabled us to move in right away. The Hot Tub (kept cool...) on the floor below was well used by all and most of our apartment time was spent on the balcony overlooking the City and Adriatic. A large balcony umbrella shielded us from the sun and being on the hill side we had a nice breeze. Cruise ships were moored in the bay and tendered passengers into the old harbour below. There are 220 steps from the apartment to the sea leve, divided by a small road halfway where there is a Pemo supermarket located close by as well as the Cable car station. We did most of our shopping in this Pemo to lessen the climbing. We made good use of the cooking facilities as well eating out in the old city where we found some very reasonable eateries on the side streets off of the main street - PLACA STRADUN. Ivana recommended the DOLCE VITA ice cream parlour in the old city which we visited several times and where many of the locals go. Excellent ice cream and very good value. For English real ale drinkers, like myself, a visit to the BEER FACTORY DUBROVNIK Tap room and eatery in the old town on Miha Pricata just past the Irish Pub is a must. Cheapest beer and spirits in town and the 0.50 litre FORTUNAL Pale Ale is excellent. My wife drinks Whisky and they had Johnnie walker Red Label there to keep her happy. We didn't eat there but the Burgers were huge and all the food looked good and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Apartment Tara for those that are fit for the walks but sadly not for those that are unable or wheel chair bound and if we ever make a return visit, we will make it Apartment Tara again.
