The location is perfect in the middle of old town Barga. Everything is walking distance, including the free parking (2min walk). Giordano is extremely friendly and ready to do anything for you. There's a little museum on the first floor, which you have free access to! All the kitchen supplies are there, salt, oil, pepper, herbs and spices! Facilities are all free to use, soaps (dishwasher, hand, but also laundry) are all included. I haven't seen that anywhere else.
It could have been cleaner. The place is huge and Giordano is doing it all alone, to keep the prices down. This is the only thing I can think of, as our one year old crawled all over the place and found all the spots that weren't cleaned.

This is such a unique place: full of paintings by à wonderful painter, it was like staying in a museum. We were encouraged to roam around the building and enjoy the space which we did :). Giordani , the owner was super helpful and accommodating.

Location fuori dal comune. Tutta la casa a disposizione per il nostro relax. Dotata di tutto ciò che può servire. Giordano presente in modo riservato ma sempre disponibile

Second visit to Casa Cordati, its an old building and I love the charm. I prefer a room on the lower floor :) however they helped get my bags up and down the 50+ steps.
Even without aircon in the hot summer the building cools down and is comfortable and clean. I can't wait to return! incredible view from the top floor, makes the stairs worth the effort :)
